A big moment for me was watching what happened when a couple of thousand cops took over a small town near Boston, Waterford. It was sickening watching the warrentless cops pull people from their houses to search them. The cops yelled at them to run and hollered in their faces what to do. There was no respect for the public, none! The cops in their military wannabe outfits with “Assault Rifles”. I have never understood how it is that a perp has 50 or 60 bullet wounds in him.
My experience is that most cops, not all, are cops for the same reason teachers are teachers. Its an easy job and it doesn't require a lot of brain power.
When they come for my gun I will give them my gun. I like you won't have a choice. If I don't give them my gun I will be a lawbreaker. If I am going to be an honest man I must obey the law.
If and when there is an open rebellion in my opinion that would legitimize breaking the law if you are in open rebellion. At that point all bets are off.
We either fix the law, lawmakers and law enforcers or we rebel. I have a feeling rebellion is coming.
Actually, that is where I always hang out. It is finished and is generally my “den,” so that is just my normal place. Plus, I just don’t like people and as a result I don’t answer my door....

If neither you nor your husband has a gun, that is a problem. Remember, “If you can't defend it, you don't own it.”
As smart as you are, you could learn to operate a gun and learn safety quickly. Talk it over with the husband, and fix the problem.

I hope you two are friends. See, cops have a life, too, and they will make decisions that won’t hurt their friends.
It is funny too, because I never have my lights on so my house is always dark. However, I do live in a pretty tightly packed neighborhood, so there are always people around that know my house is “not vacant.” When I was letting one neighbor know I was going to be on vacation for a week or so, he asked if I set up “light timers” and then we bothed realized how silly that would have been! I wanted the house to look like normal!

Oh cmon I find that hard to believe. :)
I have several cops as neighbors. Some are more friendly then others.
The friendliest one saw the police response (6 cars) when my house was robbed and admitted his first thought was a felony arrest.
