What do you do when you’re a liberal whose “first instinct is to protect [the privacy rights] of terrorists” and you get called out on it?
First you attack.
Then, when you get called out for attacking, you lie.
I broke of the story of the “warning” phone call from Gov. Patrick’s office to EBT-reform watchdog Shaunna O’Connell last week.
Since then I’ve called the governor’s office repeatedly looking for an explanation or clarification as to why he’d have a staffer calling Rep. O’Connell on her cell to hassle her for criticizing the governor.
Today the Boston Herald reports the Governor’s strategy now that he’s been caught acting like a jerk: Lie about it.
O’Connell claims she then got a phone call from a staffer in Patrick’s office, who was ticked off O’Connell would say such a thing.
“It was kind of like, ‘We don’t appreciate the language you’re using. We think it’s inflammatory,’ ” said O’Connell, who declined to name the Patrick staffer. “I said, ‘Look, I’m not saying anything different than what the governor said. He said he’s going to protect their privacy rights, and they are terrorists.’ ”
Asked about the dust-up Wednesday, Patrick told reporters O’Connell is simply spouting nonsense.

The first time that I met her when she was running to unseat Fagin, she told me that that’s what she was going to do if she got in. She kept her word.
I knew Fagin from way back. He was a good guy but 20 years in Democratic Mass. politics, he turned into a Masshole.
Busted? He sounds about qualified to win the Democratic primary ib 2016.
As a Texan, our primaries are open, which is why I voted for Hillary in the 2008 primary in Texas. At that time I wasn’t happy with anybody in the Republican primary and felt if I could run the DNC election further that was a plus as far as I was concerned.
In 2016, I’m all in with Ted Cruz.
I’m sorry folks but I don’t think Sarah Palin has a shot in the 2016 general election. I really liked the way she rattled the cage in Alaska but resigning definitely didn’t help. I’d seriouly like to see her do the Sunday morning shows (yes into the devils den) to polish her debate and speaking skills. Plus the LSM and SNL with Fey will publicly try to destroy her.
Personally, I’d love to see Palin train put on some muscle/weight and absolutely kick Tina’s Fey butt on PPV for a worthy benefit. Then to shut Fey she just has to respond, “ I guess I’ll have to kick her azz again.”
Yes, words Democrats understand and cower to.
I love how Cruz takes it to the Libs and the Rinos just the same.
With Obama’s vote rigging machine behind him, Devil Patrick has a good shot at the 2016 DNC prinary. Hillary can easily be blamed for all the Middle East problems and North Korea.
For the life of me, I can’t believe the Republicans try to put up Dole, McJuan and Romney. It’s almost like they are saying, “hey we are like Democrats too.”
We need a true Conservative like Palin or Cruz. Someone proud to say, “I’m nit a Democrat.”
