Christians Under Attack in the Military For Sharing the Gospel
The Jazz Patriot ^ | May 8, 2013 | Tom Wholley

According to an article published at Breitbart.com., entitled "Pentagon May Court Martial Soldiers Who Share Christian Faith, Christians in the military, including chaplains, could be court martialed and charged with treason for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I don't pretend to be an expert on constitutional law, but I would think that this would be unconstitutional for many reasons. Of course, I felt that way about Obama Care until Chief Justice John Roberts weighed in, much to my utter surprise and disappointment. (I may never get over that)

But if I can be allowed to reason in my common sense old sailor way of doing things, what happened to constitutional protections for freedom of religion, speech, assembly and the free exercise clause of the first amendment?

Roberts has been ‘gotten to’ either his kids foreign adoption or being a bone smuggler early on.

I think that the Obamadork and his West Wing Clown show are unintentionally determining which side the military will support in the upcoming civil war.

Hint: Libs better start purchasing bulletproof vests.

If they get this, all other freedoms will be removed shortly. If they had succeeded in stripping us of our 2nd Amendment rights the others would fall pronto. It would be game over. They all work together. Much wisdom was used in the passage of the Bill of Rights.

Acts 4: New International Version (NIV)

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people! 9 If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed, 10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11 Jesus is

“‘the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the cornerstone.’[a]

12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. 14 But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say. 15 So they ordered them to withdraw from the Sanhedrin and then conferred together. 16 “What are we going to do with these men?” they asked. “Everyone living in Jerusalem knows they have performed a notable sign, and we cannot deny it. 17 But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no longer to anyone in this name.”

18 Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to Him? You be the judges! 20 As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

21 After further threats they let them go. They could not decide how to punish them, because all the people were praising God for what had happened. 22 For the man who was miraculously healed was over forty years old.

Will that include chaplins?

Of course not.

Given that, religious preaching inside military units is deleterious to moral.

Beliefs belong in church.

Time to discharge all the Christians!

They don't belong in the antichrist's army anyway!

I’m quite sure private workplaces can and well do establish anti-proselytizing policies in those parts of the country where they are necessary. (I’d guess, where evangelizing Christians and non-Christians commonly mix.)

Where should the line be drawn in the military on this? I’m not sure, although I’m quite certain that courts-martial should not be involved.
