This really is an unfortunate rally gesture for Texas liberals...they really do go bigger on everything there.

The two-fingered “victory” sign originated as a gesture of defiance between English bowman and French troops. The French would amputate those two fingers from captured English troops so they could never draw a bow again. The English gesture was intended to show the French that they had their two fingers.

It would seem that the abortion movement is looking for something it can call its own. Maybe using just one finger...

That’s where the middle finger salute came from...they used to cut the middle finger off so they couldn’t pull the longbow!
