Every Pixar movie is connected. I explain how, and possibly why.
Several months ago, I watched a fun-filled video on Cracked.com that introduced the idea (at least to me) that all of the Pixar movies actually exist within the same universe.
Since then, I’ve obsessed over this concept, working to complete what I call “The Pixar Theory,” a working narrative that ties all of the Pixar movies into one cohesive timeline with a main theme.
This theory covers every Pixar production since Toy Story. That includes:

• Toy Story 2
• Monsters Inc.
• Finding Nemo
• The Incredibles
• Cars
• Ratatouille
• Wall-E
• Up
• Toy Story 3
• Cars 2
• Brave
• Monsters University
Every movie is connected and implies major events that influence every single movie. Here we go.

The author lays out a parallel timeline for the movies in the Pixar universe, lays out the objects and Easter eggs from which movies carry over to which other movies consistent with that timeline, and provides the over-aching narrative that ties the universe together.
Although this doesn’t fit the charter, I’m contemplating pinging the members of the Nut-Job Conspiracy Theory ping list.

I think the only common link in all the Pixar movies is the basic and simple notion of anthropomorphing anything and everything not human - giving humanlike attributes to animals and objects.
That’s it. I do not think there is/was some J.K. Rawling at Pixar who far back mapped a unified and complete “Pixar” world. Your making way too much of the simple. In my view.
But hey, have fun.

I’m sure you could take a lot of different movies and connect them all somehow...but to me, they’re just kid movies. Trying to connect them into some evil environmentalist, A.I. conspiracy, is well....a bit much. ;)

Shouldn’t that be the Pixar Unified Theory?
My personal crazy theory is that the Island from “Lost” is really Never Never Land. You’ve got a magical island run by a guy who never grows old, who likes to kidnap babies and blow up ships full of “mercenaries” (pirates?) that show up on his shores. This guy and his “Lost” boys like to wander around barefoot in the jungle, which happens to contain an old pirate-looking ship laying around for some reason. There’s also a giant statue with a crocodile’s head, a dog that seems smarter than some of the humans, and a recurring theme of people with missing limbs. If only they’d thrown in a few indians and a fairy, my theory would have been perfect.
Pizza Planet Truck is in all of the movies (including Brave)
Dynaco is in many Pixar movies.
John Ratzenberger is in all of the movies.
The island in A Bug’s Life is the same island in “Bounding”
There is only connection that I know of at Pixar: John Ratzenberger (Cheers’ Cliff Claven) has voiced a Pixar movie since 1995. To top it off..he’s a Republican.
Pixar is a piker compared to the Wold Newton family.
The Wold Newton family is a literary concept derived from a form of crossover fiction developed by the science fiction writer Philip José Farmer.
