Despite being ignored by his many colleagues in economic circles for his dire warnings ahead of the crash of 2008, Faber has been on the mark about how stock markets would behave, what governments would do, and the subsequent effects on the global populace.
To say that he expects a crash would be an understatement.
According to Faber, whats coming down the pike will be much, much worse than any crash weve seen in our lifetimes, which is why hes previously recommended high voltage electric perimeter fencing and attack dogs as investments, along with farms outside of high population areas and machine guns to defend them.

Preppers’ PING!!
or a bit of both
I don’t think is any stopping it. It is totally self-inflicted too.
The Great Fall.
Theres a Great Storm coming you can feel it and the great cities of Europe are on the edges of it now, soon it will consume them.
Its your choice you can prep or you can stand around on a bridge waiting for FEMA to bring you a bottle of water, a MRE, a warm blanket and a kiss for your boo-boo and maybe you can even get your picture as you stand there on the national news.
Any one with half a brain can look around and see for themselves what is happening right before their eyes.
So listen to what the bible says: A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it. NIV Proverbs 22:3
One of the things Selco covers in this article is the fact that many will not accept that a breakdown is occurring even as they watch it happening before their eyes. Why dont they realize it? Its caused by a condition called Normalcy Bias a mental state people enter when facing a disaster.
It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. This often results in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of governments to include the populace in its disaster preparations. The assumption that is made in the case of the normalcy bias is that since a disaster never has occurred then it never will occur. It also results in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before. People also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation.
A good article on Normalcy Bias is on our own ChocChipCookies Blog The Survival Mom:

You either prepare and stand on your own beholden to no one or you become dependent on others to provide your basic needs and become their serf. Me I dont want to be beholden to anyone for providing what is needed for me and mine. I certainly dont want to have to kiss some gubberment third class bureaucratic to try and coax some help from them, I dont want some jack booted thug herding me in line and telling me where to stand, sit, eat or sleep. And last but not least I dont want to be shut up in with a bunch of zombies and have to worry about not only trying to get basic necessities but having to fight to keep what I manage to get.
There is a Great article in my Preparedness Manual on building your on Bug Out Bag titled: A Highly-Mobility 72 Hour Kit-by Ward Dorrity. You can download the whole manual at:

For those of you who havent started already its time to prepare almost past time maybe. You needed to be stocking up on food guns, ammo, basic household supplies like soap, papergoods, cleaning supplies, good sturdy clothes including extra socks, underwear and extra shoes and boots, cash (I myself have been putting up change for the past few years both for the metal content and the fact that using change places to make what purchases you can will move you down the the list of possible marks during shtf), tools, things you buy everyday start buying two and put one up.
As the LDS say When the emergency is upon us the time for preparedness has past.
Again I like to recomend FReepers ChocoChipCookie Blog The Survival Mom (Please Blog Police let this one slide!) Where you can get lots of useful information like:

There is no greater disaster than to underestimate danger. Underestimation can be fatal.
Though we shall not know the time of the storm’s arrival ... Yes, Full Agreement ... A Storm Is Coming unlike any ever seen.
I would love to have a home that are steel gated and are high like those in Mexico. My father’s aunt and my grandmother have high steel gate and my aunt has steel gated bar that you can open for a car. Never had a person breaking in. I would like to see that here but there are regulation on fence height which sucks.
what to do...
do you move?...do you stay put?....will our houses be confiscated and everything in them?
its all just so scary...
Yes, a storm is coming. And we will need to be able to defend ourselves.
Since even .22 ammo is now too expensive to practice with, I recently bought some air guns. Pellets are still cheap, and practice with a pellet gun is better than no practice at all. Besides, it’s fun.
HEADS UP:
Both Cabellas and Walmart were either out, or severely depleted in what I was looking for. I checked a bit on line and found a few blog comments that a run may be in its early stages on pellet guns. I dont know if it really is, but it is easy to see how it could. So... If you plan to get a pellet gun, don’t wait.
will our houses be confiscated and everything in them?
That’s probably not likely. There would be too many.
Please link anything the guy forecasted or said around 2006 or so, that was on the money for 2008. Even better, the Post Turtle that burst onto the scene out of nowhere to become the empty suit dictator we have now. Just checking. His was not a name like Dr. Doom out of NYU, or someone else I have heard of.

Hmm, I bought a pellet gun on Walmart website and gobs of pellets several months ago and they had everything, no shortage of any type pellet or gun. If you say they are short now, then something is happening.
Thanks for the reminder.
You might want to bush-up on our Google skills, because there are multiple references to his prediction.

You are welcome.
Switzerland maybe?
They fared pretty well during WWII even in the middle of europe where all hell was breaking loose around them.
Just like Britain and France's economies were too weak to respond to Mussolini, few countries now could even field an army to defend an aggressor.
Bows and arrows still work pretty good.
Just saying...
any metal fence can be made “electric”
Jumper cables and car battery....
you’re right, it is scary, anybody who says they ain’t is either crazy or a fool, you just have to decide what’s best for you and your family.
As for me and mine, we serve the Lord as best we can...we’ve worked hard to get what little we’ve got, nobody gonna just walk in and take it.
My next move (unless God tells me different) is to the cemetary.
I have thought a place3 like Guam or the Bahamas might be a pretty good place in such an event
They have a homogenous population, a good climate and enough room to grow enough food to support the population
The sea would offer pretty good protection from looters
