CBN News ^ | Friday, August 09, 2013 10:46 AM | David Brody

Posted on 08/24/2013 8:26:04 AM PDT by SoConPubbie

In an interview you will only see on The Brody File, influential Iowa evangelical leader Bob Vander Plaats, head of The Family Leader organization says that Sen. Ted Cruz, “is a liberal’s worst nightmare.”

He goes on to say that Cruz has unlimited potential to energize the GOP base.

“I haven’t seen anything like it for a long time, probably ever,” Vander Plaats tells The Brody File.

Cruz, along with Rick Santorum and Donald Trump will headline the big Family Leader event on Saturday in Iowa.

Vander Plaats, who is well liked and respected by Iowa’s evangelical community, played a huge role in helping determine Iowa’s Republican Caucus winner in 2008 and 2012. He endorsed Mike Huckabee in 2008 and Rick Santorum in 2012.

Watch the video below with a partial transcription from the interview.

Bob Vander Plaats: I haven’t seen anything like it for a long time, probably ever.... He combines a lot of qualities of a lot of people into one package.... I believe he is a liberal’s worst nightmare.

"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

I am certainly praying this man does not succumb to the same self-interests and equivocation that Marco Rubio has.

Obama and Holder are publicly speaking about their ‘plan of the week’ that are just more smokescreen distractions to divert attention away from the incompetent manner Obama has handled his day job.

The best indicator of a PHONY ADMINISTRATION is the number of its REAL SCANDALS.

Commie Tyrant Obama’s current talking points are thus smokescreen distractions for the products of Obama’s first 4 years in office:
* Refusal to close US Southern Border to Mexican illegal alien invaders
* No known un-forged records of Place of Birth
* No known un-forged records of University grades
* Benghazi Massacre
* Dereliction of Duty as CIC during Benghazi Massacre
* Cover up of Benghazi Massacre
* Destruction of Seal Team Six
* Cover up of Fast and Furious murder of US Border Agent by Exec. Order
* IRS-Obama’care” Commune Death Grip on Wealth and Health
* NSA-Gestapo Death Grip on all citizen’s communications
* Use of Courts against News Media
* Use of Supreme Court to install Un-Constitutional Obama’care’ Tax
* Destruction of the US Coal Industry
* Refusal to permit XL Pipeline construction
* Trillion Dollar a year Federal Overspending
* Monthly violations of the US Constitution by Obama
* Use of Exec. Orders to bypass Congress.

REPLACE sniveling coward Speaker Boehner with a FIGHTER!

It is time to IMPEACH Tyrant B. Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro.
_______________________

Tyrant B. Hussein Obama, (aka Barry Soetoro), continues his unopposed efforts to expand Totalitarian Obamanation in Liberty-based America.

Where are the Republican opponents of Tyrant Obama?

Why have the Articles of Impeachment for Tyrant Obama not been issued by US House Speaker Boehner, or Pro-Welfare Republicans Cantor or Ryan?

Have House and Senate Pro-Welfare Republicans formed a cave-in pact with Pro-Welfare Democrats to protect Tyrant Obama?

The main thing that Speaker Boehner is afraid of is being blamed for doing his job.

Speaker Boehner’s job now is to shut down the NON-ESSENTIAL parts of the US Federal Government until Obama’care’ is ABOLISHED, and keep it shut down for however long it takes.

Santorum and Trump as headliners.

They are probably planning to muddle things in 2016 like they did in 2012.

Heck yeah.

All FReepers should support Cruz for now.

Whatever your opinion on his possible conflict regarding natural born, he is at least as natural born as Obama.

He is also kicking butt as far as the things our side (should) be out there kicking butt about.

Support Cruz strongly, without exception right now.

We can possibly worry about finer points later.

Right now, be all in please. EVERYone.

The Cruz birthers are a very tiny, but annoying percentage of conservatives. They are meaningless in the overall outlook.

The only two viable GOP candidates I could consider right now are Cruz or Rand Paul. If we don’t get a real good candidate, I’ll vote third party for prez.

“They are meaningless in the overall outlook.”

According to a poll taken last year, 46% of republicans don’t think Obama is eligible.

That’s what Cruz will be up against.

I’m betting he won’t run.

I'll bet your guy Rand "Amnesty" Paul is praying for that.

I hear you and agree with you about Senator Cruz.

On the other hand, Senator Paul has to disavow his plan to give Amnesty to 2 million Undocumented Democrats(Illegal Aliens) each and every year before I'll look at him as a viable POTUS candidate.

He makes the GOP-E pretty uncomfortable, too.

Watch as the birther "purists" on FR try to take him out. They're on almost every Cruz thread. The MSM/dem complex is expecting them to do the deed, or do enough damage that he can never be a threat.

Santorum wasn’t a bad choice given the warts all over the rest of the conservatives. He clearly was a real pro-life, pro-natural family conservative.

But there weren’t any of them that would have passed a 100% pure test...or even the Ivory Soap test.

But ALL were better than Mitt Romney.
