Catholic prophecies regarding an Anti-Pope
La Salette JOurney ^ | September 24, 2013 | Paul Melanson

Catholic prophecies without comment:

Frederick William Faber (died 1863): Antichrist…Many believe in a demonical incarnation—this will not be so—but he will be utterly possessed…His doctrine as apparent contradiction of no religion, yet a new religion…He has an attending pontiff, so separating regal and prophetic office (Edward. Prophecy for Today. Imprimatur + A.J. Willinger, Bishop of Monterey-Fresno; Reprint: Tan Books and Publishers, Rockford (IL), 1984, p. 87).

Anna-Katarina Emmerick(19th century): The Church is in great danger…The Protestant doctrine and that of the schismatic Greeks are to spread everywhere. I now see that in this place (Rome) the (Catholic) Church is being so cleverly undermined, that there hardly remain a hundred or so priests who have not been deceived. They all work for the destruction, even the clergy. A great destruction is now at hand…I saw that many pastors allowed themselves to be taken up with ideas that were dangerous to the Church. They were building a great, strange, and extravagant Church. Everyone was admitted in it in order to be united and to have equal rights: Evangelicals, Catholics, sects of every description. Such was to be the new Church…I saw again a new and odd-looking Church which they were trying to build. There was nothing holy about it… (Dupont Y. Catholic Prophecy: The Coming Chastisement. TAN Books, Rockford (IL), 1973, pp. 66, 71, 116)

Yves Dupont {writer interpreting A. Emmerick}: They wanted to make a new Church, a Church of human manufacture, but God had other designs…An anti-pope shall be set up in Rome (Dupont, p. 116).

Oba Prophecy: It will come when the Church authorities issue directives to support a new cult, when priests are forbidden to celebrate in any other, when the highest positions in the Church are given to perjurers and hypocrites, when only the renegades...

Like matter and antimatter, do they explode if they get too close to each other? Can you fuel a starship if you have one of each?

Faber, Emmerick and Dupont may have claimed to be Catholics but they ain’t no prophets.

They don’t speak for no Church. Sheesh.

I have heard of an anti-Christ but nothing I read in the bible said anything about an Anti-Pope. Although some parts of Revelation lead me to think the last Pope may well be a minion of the Anti-Christ

In addition to the Antichrist, there is a False Prophet.

Read these 3 references from Revelation.

The False Prophet leads a one world false religion that worships the Antichrist. Halfway in the seven year period outlined in Revelation (Daniel the Prophet's 70th Week) the Antichrist sits in the Temple in Jerusalem and declares himself divine.

Revelation 17 talks about the false religion.

Hope this sheds some light on it.

This should be posted in the religion forum, and perhaps as a Catholic Caucus. Why should it be in the religion forum?
Because people like me who click on the religion forum to catch up on all the relevant religion articles will not find your article there, and it should be there. Its already on the second or third page of the Everything forum, and your intended audience will never find it there, a few hours after its posted.

As to your article is a bit of a dump, a bunch of disjointed quotes or prophecies not properly tied together. Also I see you quoting from Yves Duponts book without giving a caution. Your entire site, never lists a caution on Yves Dupont and/or Nostradamus.

Yves Dupont should be criticized for his chapter on Nostrodamus. He defends Nostradamus as a legitimate seer. However, he(Dupont) does not distinguish between seers who are holy and Catholic versus those who have abandonded their Catholicism and practice astrology and dark arts as did Nostradamus. Additionally, Nostradamus prophecies are worthless because they offer no timeline.
Unlike most good Catholic prophecy, no two Nostradamus prophecies can be strung together in time, they are all disjointed. Of course, I dont want to sound like a Nostradamus expert I’m not. I discarded him a long time before I got involved with Catholic eschatology.

“Can you fuel a starship if you have one of each?”

Douglas Adams could have fleshed out a good chapter out of that idea.
