Two days ago, I pointed out that Obamacare subsidies for Virginia covered 2 times the state’s median household income and 400% of the poverty limit.

Today I want to focus on Obamacare subsidies for single, non-smoking youths. For a Silver Plan, the Obamacare healthcare premium is $2,788 annually (if you are not on your employer’s healthcare plan).

The subsidies are in force until you hit $35,000 in annual income. Thus the subsidies to young Americans is far lower than for a 40 year old couple with 3 children.

For 30 year old males, it may make sense to pay the $95 and opt out of Obamacare.

They need young healthy 20-30 group to buy this scam to subsidize older enrollees. If the young say screw it pay the fine, the whole thing is economically unsustainable.

The plans should be named for foods, not metals. The silver plan should be the “gruel” plan. Bronze is the “crap sandwich” plan. Gold is the “greasy burger.”

The fines keep going up every year. Rumor is by the 3rd year fines increase 700%. Thus the IRS will run this program. I will opt out the first year as no can give me straight answers.

All they can do is take your income tax refund, they are forbidden from collecting it or punishing you for not paying it.

However oddly enough, they dont want you to know that, and neither do a number of freepers.

Obama needs you so scared you comply.

I have seen a couple of comments here going as far as claiming the IRS will take away your drivers license if you dont pay the fine/tax.

Maybe they think posting such ridiculous stuff in comments will get Obama-care overturned, but back on the planet earth its better to tell people the truth, if you dont pay there is little they can do about it, so they are not scared into signing up.
