Hope over to CNN if you want to, and you get click on a myriad of links purporting to tell you all about the news. From videos to articles to opinion pieces, the Cable News Network tries to pass itself off as a reputable news source.
Click on TV & Video, however, and you may find some odd things linked together. In particular, under the "GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN" section.
There, you see some things that you might expect: reports on the government negotiating (or not negotiating), specific politicians' beliefs, and... the DC car chase from last week?

The injured officer ran into a Barrycade. Other than that, I got nothing.
Actually, the government shut-down possibly saved lives because there were so few people on the sidewalks around the capitol when the police started shooting.
CNN at some point also said this woman’s car was leased and then it disappeared. Wonder what that was about it seems an odd mistake.
Just remember that the shutdown order came from the Executive Branch, not Congress. Obama’s Bureau of Management issued the orders.

The MSM, within 24 hours, begins the talking point of "she was a nutjob anyways". That didn't stick - so now, it appears to be the talking point of "It's The Republicans' Fault!"
Exercise CAPITAL SHIELD was ongoing at the same time as the shooting, part of which was training for "law enforcement tactical response"...

Obama tried shutting down Amber Alerts. You KNOW they would’ve blamed Republicans for any child who was kidnapped and murdered during that outage.
Democrats already tried blaming Republicans for an increase in rape and other violent crimes in the past because of sequestration.
