I haven't heard this possibility brought up, but that might be because I haven't read every post. It's been a very busy week, and Obastard is doing his best to overflow the piss-off bucket. But, a thought dawned upon me yesterday when I was reading a story in IBD about the next big scary deadline coming up, the Debt-Limit that we're supposed to hit on 10/17.
I think Obastard is being a total pr**k about shutting down parks, landmarks and private property because he's building up cred for a threat he intends to pull next week. He's lost a lot of credibility with his threats recently because, at least on the foreign scene, he's been shown to be rather, uh, "toothless."
What's the big threat? We're all expecting it so I don't think I'm shocking anybody when I say he intends to deliberately default on our bond interest payments. It's well known that he doesn't have to do that, and any normal business would ensure the bond-holders get serviced first, but I think he's planning to stiff the folks holding the debt, and that's us. Yes, the Chinese will take it in the shorts, but I think the Fed holds the biggest chunk of the debt these days. At least, they're the only fools buying it lately, since the S&P downgrade.
He's infuriating everybody right now for the same reason a battleship bombards an enemy before an invasion: To "soften us up." He would rather create mayhem the likes we haven't seen in my lifetime than try to get spending under control. He wants to deliberately crash the economy, and this is his big chance, all the while blaming the Republicans, especially TEA Partiers. We're all Emmanuel Goldstein now.
I see a golden opportunity to put troops in the streets, and dissidents in jail.
He has created a culture that stresses the concept that the citizens all function and live at the fragile benevolence of the federal government, and there are plenty on the other side of that line who embrace the idea that they are in charge. Obama's world view complements the one they've envisioned since they were bullied in high school. We must all respect their awesome power or they will make us pay the price.
As far as defaulting, he won't do that because it will be the final nail locking down his worst president ever title, which he still thinks isn't his. He probably thinks it belongs to Reagan.

Keep your eye on the movement of military domestically, and other security forces. Remember those large ammo purchases? And why did Janet Napolitano vacate her post and WHY has no one been appointed to fill that position? That could be a clue. Barry is empowering his Park Rangers and other security people with more intrusive actions and belligerent attitudes.. What gives?

I confess that when Bush Jr. was elected I told people that all we did by electing him was put off the inevitable by four years. I said the same thing when he was re-elected but not sure we really put anything off.

Wasn’t it the Holy Reverend Jesse Jackson who himself said in 2008 “He’s not one of us!” ? Obummer is not part of the American fabric, doesn’t feel it, never felt it. And now, seeing that nobody will hold his feet to the fire, because, let’s face it, that’s how our system works when the MSM is on your side (as it’s been on the side of the blackmailer Jackson, if you need examples), he feels no sense of responsibility to anybody or anything.
My scenario: Just as he did with the CR, he will demand of the Republicans in Congress a “clean” debt limit raise, with zero future limits or conditions. The Republicans will either totally cave and accede to this demand, or they will hold out and be blamed for pushing the USA over the “debt cliff.”
Obama then cuts off all entitlement payments. No SS, pensions, or indirect EBT payments (they are doled out by the states.)
Once the EBT payments stop, our cities will EXPLODE and Obama will have his “emergency” and will announce fiat rule by the National Emergencies Act.

He gets to declare the “Tea Party terrorists” to be “enemies of the state,” and rule as a dictator. It’s win-win for Obama.
Notice there are a lot of normally big mouths in DC who are very, very quiet these days. If their plan to further destroy America this month succeeds, then they’ll all be fighting over the cameras in about two weeks. If it fails, then the only one who’s been out there is hussein.

I think Boehner should hold a press conference and announce that if Obama fails to make the bond payments as required by the 14th amendment using the ample supply of tax receipt funds that continually come in to the Treasury, then Congress will immediately begin impeachment proceedings. Enough with the games.
None of us should hesitate posting in matters like this. When you shine a light into a dark corner, sometimes something really is there. It's worth the effort.
Towards the end of Glenn Beck’s show this morning, he was saying they’ve gotten wind of something that’s being planned. They haven’t nailed it down to their satisfaction yet, but they’ll put it out when they have. Glenn has said before that sooner or later they’ll be honest about ‘who they are’. Maybe that shoe is ready to drop?
Polls this morning show 58% are against raising the debt limit, with only around 37% for. It doesn’t look like it’s going Barry’s way right now & he’d better be very careful what nonsense he tries.
The threat of default is essentially non-existent, barring a complete financial meltdown... which in fact, may come later as a consequence of hyperinflation as initiated by the Federal Reserve's monetary policies. But for the moment, Obama in his capacity as Chief Executive cannot simply choose to default on the debt. It must be paid, and it will.
As I understand, paying the debt interest obligations is first on the pay list. Before anything else.
The monthly income into the government coffers is many times that needed to service the debt.
IOW for the Country to default on loans would require a conscience effort/edict to bring about. And I don't know if that is even possible.
If that is true then a default can be laid squarely at the feet on Zer0.
