Not vouching for the theory but it goes more like this because Connally was more in jump-seat, actually a different seating arrangement. This is part of the problem with studying the assassination, too much information out there and in the end for what?? 2nd graphic from Posner's book.

Now that I have read this story more closely, this is why what Stone is saying is important even if some people assert we were told this before in other books.

FINGERPRINT, it is being asserted that an “alleged” heavy of LBJ’s, Malcolm Wallace had a fingerprint of his found at the TSBD, Texas Schoolbook Depository. If this is so, I’ve got to say it would seem to be “real” evidence.

Thanks. That is three thread this is being discussed on. Linking them helps
keep cross tabs on info. This has apparently become a topic of interest because
of the TV shows and the 50th anniversary of the event. One show that I saw was
featuring all the various conspiracy theories.

I don’t know if it will ever be proven, but most Texans know that LBJ was among the most corrupt, cutthoat, and ruthless politican in the history of this state.

You'll get no argument from me on that.

And speaking for myself, a lot of times, I will comment while not having read the whole article.

It’s mindblowing that according to Roger Stone, writer of this book that Richard Nixon said he knew who Jack Ruby was “instantly”, there’s been so much JFK stuff, hard to keep up but that is amazing:

“Richard Nixon told me in 1982 that he immediately knew who Jack Ruby was when he saw him shoot Oswald,” Stone told The Daily Caller in an extensive interview.

Among other revelations, Stone told TheDC that Nixon hired Jack Ruby as a House committee informant at Johnson’s request years prior to the Kennedy assassination, which occurred 50 years ago today.”

Roger Stone for those who don’t know going off the top here, worked with Richard Nixon and Stone worked for the Libertarian campaign last year. Perhaps Stone is an eccentric personality in his own right.

So tread slowly with this guy.

I think it’s important to remember that “eccentric” personalities can belong to either honest or dishonest individuals.

The question is not whether Stone is eccentric or mainstream in temperament.

The question is whether he tells the truth.

When it comes to the JFK ASSassination theories, I believe the book written by Brenda Jagger which says that “after all it was you and me.”

From the Google translation of this page: http://www.rtl.fr/actualites/info/international/article/kennedy-le-reve-a-ete-assassine-avec-l-homme-dit-giscard-7767111282

Valéry Giscard d’Estaing

“Gerald Ford (President of the United States from 1974 to 1977, ed) was part of the Warren Commission, takes Valéry Giscard d’Estaing. I did a drive with him once in the United States, he was President . President and I was myself I told him: ‘I ask you an indiscreet question: you were in the Warren Commission, what conclusions did you come?’ He told me: ‘This is not satisfactory, we have reached an initial conclusion:... It was not an isolated crime, it was something organized We were sure it was organized but we have not been able to discover by whom “.

I was at TSN and Pleiku in 68-69. I loved the country and the people. I have been back a number of times and have a vacation home in a small highway town North of Cam Ranh. I know a Navy fellow (also 68-69) who has been in Nha Trang since ‘05. He is retired now and living on his SS like we all wish we could live on SS.

How can anyone say there was only one bullet? From the Zapruder film, you can plainly see at least two times Kennedy was shot, once in the throat, when Jackie leaned over to him, and then the one to his head when Jackie went to the back of the limo for whatever reason, either from fright or trying to get the secret service agent’s attention. I haven’t read his book or saw the TV movie, but I think in O’Reilly’s version of events, there was only one bullet.

LBJ had means (LBJ used Texas Gov. John Connally to entice JFK to their Texas territory along with his strong connections with the Dallas Police, Dallas news media, and Big Texas Oil)

Presumably Senator LBJ packed a lot of clout. We don't know if he still had it after three years as Vice President.

The story in 1963 was that Kennedy went to Dallas to heal the rift between Governor Connally's and Senator Yarborough's factions of the party. A party split could have made Johnson less of a factor back home.

Maybe all the legends are true, but I wouldn't automatically assumed that Johnson could call upon the unquestioning support of powerful Texans or of the state as a whole.

Re: Jack Ruby

My husband and I were fond of watching “What’s My Line” in those days and were truly shocked at the murder of Dorothy Kilgallen, a WML panelist. Mystery solved on P.299 of Stone’s book. Apparently she was the only reporter granted a personal interview with Ruby and was working on a book which she told friends would “blow the JFK case sky-high.” All the notes for her book disappeared at her death.

IMO Stone has done a public service by putting all the pieces together.

Interesting how the truth eventually comes out little by little. Wish I could be around for the 100 year observance of the assassination.

Jackie went to the back of the limo to retrieve a piece of Kennedy’s brain.

I know it is not logical but in a situation like that illogical action often happens. She tried to pick it up and put it back into his head.

Coming up soon, another thread entitled with the rhetorical question, “Did Martians kill JFK?”
I surfed on and off a JFK documentary last night that discussed different conspiracies and the percentage of Americans who believed them.
IIRC, 7% thought his assassination was to cover up proof of aliens on earth. Oy.
