One of these things, is not like the others. Lets see, we knew back in September, 2013; that the 222 year old Farmers Almanac predicted a lousy winter. Some where, some place, a medicine man reading chicken entrails probably got it right, as well. And the AGW folks? Well, where are their models? Show us the polar vortex in your models and while you are at it, tell us what next winter will be like so we know if you have a clue as to what you are talking about. However, also let us know if your models showed alarming global warming without any snow far, far into the future and melting polar ice caps; lets see it. Oh! I am sorry, I have got it wrong, you alarmists only make long term predictions, right? Well, if that is the case, dont talk about how extreme weather is a result of something you havent studied especially when the known record on hurricane forecasting is so ridiculous; got it?
The Farmer's almanac article was posted here:

‘Twould make a good study to compare the predictions of the Farmer’s Almanac during the past twenty or so years to those made by the elementary school level “climate change scientists”.
However, one would have to use elementary statistics to buttress the conclusion, which would necessarily place the article out of the ability of those “scientists” to comprehend it, since they have repeatedly demonstrated a problem with mathematics, modeling, and simulation.
Now, that rates a BOOYAH!! in my book. Very well done.
I made similar statements to a global warming nut job a couple years ago.
He came back at me by saying we cannot compare climate change to the National Weather Service forecasts because a weather forecast is like a train, you can see it coming down the tracks before it gets here.

...and it’s still wrong more often than not.
So how does this Einstein expect you to believe that a long term prediction could be anywhere close?
How 'bout this with your nut job friend? "Let's talk some science, OK? Can we agree that our planet has variations in tilt and orbit? Can we agree that it's known fact that the lunar orbit fluctuates? How about Solar energy output? Can we agree it's known fact that there are many different cycles of energy output from the sun? OK, here's your science question....how does raising CO2, which is used by all of the plant life on earth, by a couple hundred parts per million compare to the forces of any ONE of those variables?
Good rant.
C’mon, that wouldn’t be fair to insist on real science. For one thing, you cannot halt capitalism/liberty with real science.
Sure, I agree. A comparison of these predictions would be great. I don’t expect to see any, however, because I don’t believe these “scientists” have any credibility.
Thanks, Windflier.
Great observations! As I have said on my previous post on this topic, these people are no different from an economist trying to tell us that he/she KNOWS where the DJIA will close on a certain date in the future; some will say that the “science” of economics is more sound and settled!
Thanks, BCC...
Nice! Those questions should leave them stunned; assuming, of course, that they have the capacity to understand what you are asking.
