Like it or not, the reality is that we have a two party system.

As some sensible conservatives know and express is: vote for the most conservative Republican, WHO HAS A CHANCE TO WIN. Otherwise you are helping the Dems.

Geez, what a defeatist attitude.

People have suffered and died to give us this country and I'll be damned if I will ever give up and not do everything in my power, no matter how small, to save it.

If you feel berated, I can't help it. As close as that election was, it COULD have been won.

The sea is not going to change when people sit around doing nothing to make it change.

It’s not a defeatist attitude, it’s a realistic attitude. The electorate has changed, madam, and it’s unlikely that there will be any movement back towards the country in which I grew up in (I’m 73, by the way) from the people out there now. They have been well indoctrinated by the schools and the media. It’s a shame but that’s how it is.

But if it gives you a thrill to think that you are going to make a difference, have at it.

This is primarily why I stay registered as a R... PRIMARIES! voting out the crud...I don’t give ONE DIME to the REpublican party. I DO support the Tea Party Candidates.

Sorry but that is not working. It is a failed experiment and repeating the process is helping the Dems.

We have nothing left in the Federal Government but Rinos and Leftists and that my friend is because you and yours are puppets for the RINO Elite.

“They’re not about to change as long as suckers continue throwing money their way. I haven’t received another call from the GOP since. “

I guess there are still some folks who contribute, but I suspect that fewer and fewer are middle class folks contributing out of altruism. Yet the gop is not really hurting for cash.

“I have many differences with the Libertarians but fewer than I do with what passes for today’s Republican Party.”

I dislike all the parties. The founders were right in their views toward faction. That said, I’m sympathetic to what many of the libertarians trying to accomplish. They tend to walk the talk and are very effective in relatively small numbers. To wit, take a look at what they’re doing in New Hampshire with the Free State Project.

“I’ve taken it a step further. I’ve just quit voting altogether.”

I’ve gone the extra step as well and decided to try to control my voting addiction. One Election At A Time.

The uniparty controls what groups can access to the ballot, decides who can vote, runs the elections, then counts the votes. Is the end result ever really in doubt?

I don’t see involvement in electoral politics as a wise expenditure of my limited time. And let’s face it:elections have become depressing. There are so many other political things you can do that have a wider and more immediate impact. I’m excited with the opportunities that walking away from the ballot box opens up.

I’m not okay with flip-flopping liars regardless of party affiliation. If you are, that’s fine. It’s your business and your vote. Railing at others who don’t share your low standards is silly tho. I voted for him but I won’t excoriate those who didn’t as I can absolutely understand why.

Sure, speculation based on his record as governor, his primary election rhetoric and his general election rhetoric. Those are pretty big clues as to how he’d have governed.

Blame who you want. No skin off my teeth.

“I blame everyone who could have stopped this madness and didn’t even try. Those that cut off their nose to spite their face.”

The worst part is that they never learn, even after they gave us Clinton by supporting Perot and gave us Obama by staying home instead of voting for Romney, by not supporting Republican candidates who could have beaten the Dems and now we could have had the presidency and both Houses of Congress, instead of what we have now. These same people who are continuously attacking “RINO”-s, don’t seem to have an interest in defeating the Dems. Makes you wonder...

It will NOT be won by the socialists in the GOPe...

We WILL make sure of it...

The establishment is on its way out. They are going to take out the republican party with them. No loss... We will rebuild it into the force it needs to be to eliminate the socialists in the states and then kill the corrupt fedgov.

Bet on it...

I am not a Republican. I am happy about it. I am a conservative. If the Republican Party offers up RINO’s and leftists, I can just refuse to vote. The GOPe candidates deserve to lose elections.

I really don't understand your thinking. Not voting Republican just elects Democrats, so why not just vote Democrat to begin with?

I happened to be present at CPAC after Romney won the nomination. Jenny Beth Martin and her group were loudly letting it be known that they were NOT going to vote for Romney. So, of course, they joined the millions of so called Conservatives who didn't vote for Romney because he wasn't “pure enough” Republican and helped reelect Obama for four more years! Then they came out and blamed the Republicans for losing the election! Not only that, they started and continue to bash all Republicans about not doing enough about the Benghazi,IRS, NSA, scandals of Obama! What did they expect when Obama got reelected and the DEMS controlled the Senate? Nice things to happen????
