SEX AND THE SENIOR CROWD

The year end’s most popular “Florida Man” tweets feature the very strange story of a 76 year-old South Florida resident who was arrested at the hospital bedside of his elderly wife who was being treated for a broken right hip which he had caused. (1) A nurse called police after she overheard the couple talking about the fight they had when the wife walked in on her husband surfing dating sites on the Web. The wife apparently struck the first blow by slapping him, but police arrested the husband for shoving her to the floor, thereby causing the woman serious injury. “After 33 years of marriage, I cannot believe it,” the wife said.

In Sonora, CA two old people were busted for having intercourse in a parked car in the parking lot of Docs Smoked Barbecue and...

I can't seriously continue to correspond with an individual who doesn't believe there is such a thing as compulsive sex addictions. Clinton? LOL

The fact that the loose zippered Clinton was not expressing his God given sexuality God’s way is not proof that addiction exist any more than my needing to sleep later today is proof that I’m addicted to sleep…. unless you want to quibble about what the definition of ‘addiction’ is. However Clinton is proof of something else…. Individuals better do sex God’s way or it will be done in a purely sinful way.

You might want to have a serious heart to heart with your wife, perhaps with a marriage counselor to make sure she’s comfortable living up to the Josephite marriage arrangement. “I do” becoming a vow of celibacy is the main reason I ended my marriage.

Medicare pays for Viagra and sexual aids, but does not pay for hearing aids ????? Is that so old geysers are unable to hear “Not tonight” from their elderly wives???;)

Love my Wife. I’m 44, she’s 42...

Nothing more “divine” than the love of a good woman IMO. And yeah, we have 3 kids. The youngest is 2.

You do the math...

Get over yourself. Seriously.

****Boomers are just now beginning to populate retirement communities in larger numbers*****

Warning to widowed, divorced female FReepers who are contemplating moving to a planned retirement community.

From personal experience - these communities are not grandkid friendly.

If you are a ‘club joiner’ you will have to schedule your activities around the clubs that take over the tennis courts, pools, golf courses, bocce courts.

Single retirees subsidize all the activities they don’t use for the couples who do. Wives are very suspicious of single women and guard their men - (as if;).

First thing I learned was: “Casserole Club” refers to any single woman who bakes food for an incoming, new single male resident.

Just sayin’

Just because YOU can’t get it up in your middle age doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t. Are you sure that the 86 in your name isn’t your real age?

WE have a Josephite* Marriage.

OK, then; onward and upward. But it's hardly an exceptional devotion if you feel compelled to get on a thread about senior sex and claim that the rest of the world should abstain. If you decide to make an extraordinary gift, realize its value -- it's more than most people would do.

I wonder, are "Josephites" as consistent with their other appetites as they are with curbing their sexual desire?

For example, I assume that only water is allowed for drink, and all food is made as bland as possible.

Can't we agree that any efforts to add flavor, any thought given to the enjoyment of food or drink, anything other than simply nourishing the body, would certainly be pursuing animalistic gluttony - correct?

I mean, if we want to be consistent...

Why anyone beyond 35-40 still wants to have sex is beyond me.

Jeez, the ladies just have hit their sexual prime about 35. Fine wine at it's best.

Not quite. Although eating, drinking, sleeping and having sex all fall under the common categories of things one desires, finds pleasure in and/or is essential to do, there are critical differences….1. Eating, drinking and sleeping are all things that are good for you (assuming that one is eating nutritious food, drinking good water and sleeping soundly) but there is a point of consumption after which the benefit of these three becomes reversed. In the case of all three of these, the impact of overconsumption is quite severe and in the extreme causes death. Sex is the only one of those four basic activities which has no upper boundary after which too much consumption is bad for you….. In fact, the more sex a man has, the less chance he has of not contracting prostate cancer. The more sex a women has, the less chance she has of contracting ovarian cancer (for both the man and the woman, this assumes a monogamous husband-wife relationship). Do a search on ‘health benefits of regular sex’…here’s the first link that turned up for me. http://www.webmd.com/sex-relationships/guide/sex-and-health?page=2 The benefits across the board are endless… and there is absolutely no negative aspects (unless one wants to claim that they are spending too much time on this important activity. In fact, if a husband or wife is withholding sex from his/her spouse, he/she is obviously killing the marriage but the case could be made that he/she is actually doing physical/mental harm to the spouse. 2. Gluttony implies that one is doing something for him/herself. That’s not what having sex is supposed to be… if viewed as something that one is giving as opposed to taking, how can it be gluttony?

I don’t understand the continued desire to have sex.

You may need testosterone replacement therapy. Having sex with ones spouse may not result in any multiplier effect but the going forth remains a very pleasant calling.

I don’t want to speculate. People rub all kinds of little holes through the smoke on “the glass darkly.” I just think that since no one can really know the mind of God, they may well engender negativity when they try to make absolute doctrinal arguments online.

I once knew a beautiful 48 year old woman married to a no-sex-but-reproduction prude like you...she was great in bed. I am not kidding.
