The Story Behind The Budweiser Super Bowl Ad
Political Realities ^ | 02/01/14 | LD Jackson

Chuck Nadd

For the record, I'll not be watching the Super Bowl on Sunday. That being said, there seems to be as much talk about the inevitable Super Bowl ads that companies produce. Many of them are classics, including several from Budweiser. I found the story behind this year's Budweiser Super Bowl ad on Facebook and after watching it, finding myself in tears for a good portion of the story, I can do nothing less than share it with my readers.

The Budweiser ad tells the story of Lt. Chuck Nadd and his homecoming to Winter Park, FL. The video I have embedded below tells the story behind the story and how the homecoming came together to honor one of our heroes. Yes, the ad is designed to showcase the Budweiser stagecoach and the beautiful horses that pull it, but it goes much deeper than that. The back story highlights why it is so important for the men and women who are coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan to know how much we appreciate their service. And while you are at it, find a Vietnam veteran and tell them thanks.

I doubt you can watch the video without shedding a few tears.

I find it hard to sit through a video like that and look at the emotional scenes of the homecoming parade and the confetti in the air and at the same time put into perspective what a significant portion of our country's government is doing to divide our country and demolish our heritage.

I pray everyday that we can rise together and give Americans the inspiration and courage to clean the bastards out of our congress that respect neither the Oath of Office they took nor those of us who believe in it.
