Unsurprising in Andrews.
But they have a fair amount of money, so sue the crap out of them.

Perry can't do much as governor, and that's by design.
Abbott is the one that needs to address this, since he's the AG.
And Dewhurst needs to address it in the legislature, but I won't hold my breath on Dew-worst.

Can we get a Texas ping here. People need to contact Abbott's office to address this corruption in law enforcement.

Guarantee you this fish is rotting from the head down. A whole agency doesn’t just go rogue like this unless the boss allows it, or is the one driving it.

I think an investigation by the Attorney General's office will sort all of that out. ;)

I’ll contact Abbott’s office tomorrow to register my complaint.
Thanks, Johnny.

What the hell is going on in Texas these days? Are the “steers” outnumbered now?

There are a lot of statists in high places. There are a lot of people who have been lied to by the old media. There are a fair number that are waking up and trying to wake up the rest. We are winning in Texas, but it is not a sure thing, and good Texans can use all the support they can get.

If you are carrying a rifle around, I am going to think you are nuts. I bet many people called the police on him.

Wow, sounds like Austin, not west Texas. When I lived in the Panhandle, I would never have thought something like this could occur in that part of the world.
Sounds like an Athens, TN action might be appropriate here in the near future.
To: minnesota_bound
It's legal to carry a rifle or shotgun openly in Texas. What isn't legal is for law enforcement to 'discourage' people from freely performing lawful acts.
Your fear of firearms has nothing to do with my freedom.

When did exercising your constitutional rights become nuts???
