Stop the Magnet will endorse Candidate Steve Stockman in his bid for the Texas US Senate seat. We can count on Stockman to continue his consistent fighting patterns against the ills of un-vetted and sovereignty-eroding immigration practices enacted by this administration and aided by powerful special interests. If Cornyn can be kept under 50%, he’s beatable in the runoff.

I do not believe he has any chance if it comes to a run off.

With 8 candidates and a strong anti-Cornyn sentiment in the conservative groups, I think a runoff is likely.

In a non-presidential election year, the typical primary voter is a little more tuned in to the specifics than the average voter.

Outside of Stockman do any of the others have any statewide recognition? Stockman
has at least some recognition in SETX but beyond that I’m not sure of how much he has.

Dwayne Stovall has some statewide support.

I haven’t done my homework yet.

I”m surprised that a statewide poll hasn’t been done. I know that some of the
candidates take polls that aren’t released. That may be why Cronyn is hitting
the airwaves with all he’s got.

But I would disregard any poll that compares one on one.

It needs to include the full 8. That is the only measure of the the primary will really look like. Keep Cornyn from 50% then and he will likely loose the run-off. Run-off voters do not tend to favor an incumbent.

In 10 days early voting starts so we’ll see how the interest is. I
suspect it will be good with the major statewide offices up this year.

This household won’t be sending any votes Cornyn’s way.

By here, do you mean Texas? Do we still have the voter ID law?
