This election for U.S. Senate is about one thing and one thing only: protecting and defending Texas. And in a larger way, it can be about protecting America.

What separates Dwayne Stovall’s campaign from every other campaign is that he understands that Texas, and America, are under attack by political forces that would steal these freedoms from us. If you ask Steve Stockman’s supporters why they support him, it’s because they believe that having “Rep” in front of his name gives him a greater likelihood to win against Cornyn. They’re not voting for Steve Stockman because of his amazing representation of Texas. It’s not his command of the Constitution or the terrific leadership he has shown while in office for just one and half terms. They just perceive him, for now, as the most viable “anybody but Cornyn” vote.

Stockman, Stovall and Vega are not the only candidates running against Cornyn. There are also two other outstanding candidates running: Reid Reasor and Ken Cope. Chris Mapp cooked his goose when he went on record calling all Mexicans Wet Backs. We don’t need a Todd Aikin-type to lose this seat for us.
I wish Stovall would not have done the “turtle” ad. He’s really getting bad pub from it. Something like that is all it would take for the press to label him another Todd Aikin and cause Cornyn to be reelected. It might seem silly, but most people don’t need anything but a silly reason to vote against someone. Right now, I’m sticking with Linda Vega. My second Choice: Reid Reasor.
