Note that there are 3 charts listing totals for 1st day [February 18, 2014] early voting in Harris County Texas for the March 4, 2014 Texas primary.
The 1st chart combines Republican party and Democratic party numbers for the day.
The 2nd chart is the Democratic party totals.
The 3rd chart is the Republican party totals.
Each chart lists totals for individual voting locations.
Totals for early voters (person) and early voters (mail-ins) are tallied.
Potential number of mail-ins (from total ballots requested and mailed to voters) is also shown.

From my review, Republican recorded numbers totaling 11,855 compared to the Democratic recorded numbers totaling 3356, shows high energy on the Republican side.
Also the number of requested and returned ballots follows the same very lopsided pattern.
They haven’t set it up on their site yet. It should be up today or maybe early tomorrow.
I’ll ping you if I see it later on.
Please do, thanks in advance.
Voted early afternoon yesterday in Collins County. Although a GOP stronghold, my precinct had very light turnout. Saw that there had been 27 Democrats who voted and I was the 12th to vote in GOP primary.
Perhaps those numbers shifted later in the day when people got off work.

It does sort of seem like that, doesn’t it?
Can you elaborate? Why on earth would he actually want to lose? So that a D can win the general over a Stockman? And thus teach us a lesson?
(While I’m not thrilled with that, I’m prepared to accept that as a possibility. I just want Cornyn to lose. It’s time to escalate the struggle in the GOP. It’s going to get worse before it gets better, so we might as well get it on).
It’s a mystery why he would very publicly provoke the Tea Party but we’ve seen other examples of this (Boehner, McConnell).
One reason could be, he’s doing it to please and attract anti-conservative donors to his campaign - he’s spent a lot of his war chest on all the campaign advertising he’s had to buy trying to avoid a runoff.
If he is forced into a runoff, conservatives will smell blood and rally behind his opponent in a tidal wave, like they did behind Ted Cruz.
A quicker link.
Thanks.
That would be a strange strategy...it would seem that using the power of incumbency would be a better path to raising campaign $$$. Plus he’s got the Rover superpac with plenty of money there for him...so I’m skeptical.
I think it’s just old fashioned hubris. He’s getting ticked off that one of the peasants is giving him a hard time and he’s not able to contain his wrath. So his tongue gets loose and he spouts off.
Regardless, here’s hoping he goes the way of Dewhurst.
That’s good news. Low interest / low turnout is bad news for Cornhole.
All right you Texans...make us proud and get out there and vote for any of the Republican “ANYONE BUT CORNYN” candidates for Senate. And get your conservative friends to do the same.
Volunteer and/or contribute to one of the “non-Cornyn” Republican candidates. YOU are in the vanguard and can draw first blood!!
Good news. Thanks for posting.
Thanks. Please ping, if you can, if you post - or see it posted.
Cornyn is trying for Democrat crossover votes in these nasty TEXAS open primary contests, hoping to scuttle the effective TEA Party counter to the over all Republican vote.
Cornyn must play hard for re-enforcements outside of the party to avoid a run off.
COME ON, TEXAS!! START THIS BALL ROLLING!!
I”ll ping when I find the first one on the SOS website.
In case you maybe interested the early voting data for the top 15 counties is
now up on the SOS website. I meant to include in the above ping but didn’t.

Thank you.
Is that link going to show a running total?
Thank you.
It will show the current days vote and then the cumulative total including all the previous days.
