We’re beginning to see more and more discussions about how the laws, policies and regulations of our federal, state and local governments are working to impoverish the people of this country and restrict their liberties. So much so that even the taboo topic of a potential Ukraine-style collapse right here in America is now being openly discussed in mainstream circles.
In a recent panel discussion on Fox News the question of whether or not Ukraine rioting is the future of America came to the forefront and long-time political operative and former Presidential adviser Pat Caddell weighed in.
Like many of us, and despite his association with high level members of the Democrat Party, Caddell is concerned about what’s coming our way should things continue as they have been:
What we’re seeing in the world… in Kiev… is American values at work. These people and the rest of the world are saying ‘we’re not putting up with this and we’ll put our lives on it.’
In this country a populace equally dissatisfied with its political class and its leadership.
We don’t have the same overt oppression, but we have a very soft oppression of complacency and corruption.
And the American people… what you’re seeing there… they need their own outlet for that… it is a warning… because it’s coming.

Ever since the beginning of the financial crisis, when Congressional Representatives were told that failure to pass a $1 trillion economic bailout would lead to martial law in America, we have warned that there will come a time when the people of this country will take to the streets.
For years the mainstream ignored the warnings, even when the very same issues that drove hundreds of thousands of people onto the streets of Iceland, Ireland, Egypt, Spain, Greece and Egypt to depose their leadership and fight corruption appeared in America.
For years the alternative media has attempted to awaken the masses. And though many Americans have gained an understanding of what is happening behind the scenes and why, the vast majority continue to eat up everything dished out to them via their televisions.
Yet, now, even those stalwarts who previously refused to discuss or report on the reality of conditions on the ground over the last several years are coming around to the possibility of serious ramifications if something isn’t done.
If you’re paying attention, you know something isn’t right. Soon, even those who refuse to accept what’s happening around them won’t be able to ignore it any longer.

I think there is earnest discussion on this by parts of conservative America, but I do not think they are the ones that will instigate a Ukraine-like uprising.
I believe some global financial incident will spark a serious national economic upheaval here, and the seriously diminished producing side will diminish in the face of more and more entitlement.
Look at it this way, two kids on a seesaw....one kid doing all the work, pushing up over and over to keep the action going. The other, a fat-a$$ doing nothing but along for the ride, getting fatter and fatter. Eventually the working kid says "screw this" and jumps off leaving the fat-a$$ to crash to the ground.
That fat-a$$ is the one who'll be out in the streets demanding action, and that will force Obama to take some pretty drastic action (anywhere from more promises, to wealth confiscation, more drastic taxes, gun confiscation, extending his rule by decree, etc.), and THIS is what will bring the producers out into the streets.
Yes, but do the producers then “take over” and re-install the Republic as founded, or do they rest on their laurels?
I’ll be honest, I’m having regular nightmares of the future of this country, both literal and figurative. I really don’t want to die at the hands of fascist thugs, but I am convinced that is God’s plan: to take out as many of them as possible before one of them takes out me.
It’s sad that we, as American men and women, have to worry about this, but I believe the time has come.
We must take our country back from the Kenyan bastard!

I do not see Americans, such as FReepers, doing much of anything close to rioting or participating in civil upheaval.
Sadly, it is the Marxist/leftist/Obots that are the types to rebel and create civil mayhem when they are cut off from the freebies.
America is in deep trouble, but I do not know how it will be resolved. We have no viable opposition party or movement.
The reelection of Obama was a very telling moment for America.
The Marxist left smells victory, and they feel that they can now push it to the hilt.

I honestly don't know. What I do know is that the very last thing I'd be doing now is living in a large or even midsized urban city. I've done my best to get away from that - away from bus lines, rail lines, interstates, and anywhere there is a large portion of entitlement residents. When it all does crash, I'm hoping they will begin in-fighting and decrease their own numbers.
The story line is currently correct but right thinking folks are the downtrodden.
It wouldn’t turn out the same. If the federal government lost control, groups in various areas, heavily armed, would seize state and regional capitals, and the US would be broken up, and rightly so because many of us in Flyover Country are SICK of being governed by California’s electoral votes and the wild-eyed commies in New England.
Can you just imagine a new state with the constitution completely restored, leaving out all the revisionist SCOTUS decisions and lib machinations.
Some of us are as dug in as we can be in our suburban homes. I, thankfully, live in an upper-middle class part of my county and have several “rings” of communities around me where the trouble will hit before getting to me. I’ve sketched up a few “battle plans” on napkins and scrap envelopes with my neighbors over beers in the past. I pray I never have to come to execution.
One can look at the Tea Party protests. They are civilized and behave themselves. Heck, they even police the area and clean up any trash.
Then look at the typical liberal/socialist/anarchist/marxist protest. They trash the place, destroy things, rape (Occupy), and generally cause mayhem. And who encourages and celebrates these groups? None other than the President, Senate and House Democrats, and the Justice? department.
Who believes conservatives would do anything outside the bounds of the Constitution?
It’s hard enough to get them to DO anything within the bounds of the Constitution!
Everyone calm down. All we have to do is get involved in local politics, contact our national reps through emails and on line petitions, and gently inform those around us that are not as astute as we are about the issues.
The federal government can be made to lose control but it will take some fortitude by some state. I do not know who that will be. South Carolina? Texas?
Some state has to draw a line and refuse to accept some imposed ruling upon it. When one does, several may follow.
When Holder encouraged lawlessness, he opened a door. Someone should walk thru it.

“Producers” by definition will be sufficiently intelligent to realize going into the street exposes them to AgencyPersons with guns.
“Producers” are older, smarter, and experienced - my guess is they will use 4th Generation warfare tactics.

The reason the Ukrainians are in the streets is that they are not owners of 44% of the entire world’s privately owned small arms. The Ukrainians would not be throwing rocks at armed and armored troops if they were armed.
AgencyPersons should read “Unintended Consequences” if they think they can prevail against the American people. They might also consider the sad reality that they are now more seriously suppressing Americans than were the AgencyPersons of King George.
