We can also vote, but that's a purely earthly deal vs. the real deal which is all spiritual.
What do you mean by “tolerance,” Eva? Do you mean standing by and allowing the radical homosexual movement to steamroll across our land squashing the rights of those who oppose it? Have you been watching what they’re doing lately?
We are all born in sin, but no one is “born homosexual.” It is a chosen behavior. When someone finds himself experiencing warped same-sex attraction (which can arise for a number of reasons, including childhood sexual abuse), he may or may not act on it, but the moment he does, he has chosen homosexuality.
"Note that Romans 1:32 points out that those who approve of such conduct are just as guilty as those who engage in it."
Hello Eva,
I am pretty well convinced that homosexuality is a deviant choice. But regardless, even if I am wrong, it is still wrong - a sin.
Being a normal male, I am born with a high attraction towards women, but it would be sin to engage partners before marriage or during marriage.
So regardless of whether homosexuality is hereditary or not, the practicing of it is a sin.
I recently came across Sam Allberry who admits to having same-sex attraction. He has written a book on this (available at Amazon) and he also “has been a pastor at St Mary’s Church, Maidenhead, UK since 2008. Prior to that he worked as the pastor for students at St Ebbe’s Church, Oxford, UK. His passion is helping people understand the significance and wonder of biblical truth.”
I disagree, my husband’s uncle had three homosexual children, two boys and one girl. The oldest tried to live a straight life and it didn’t work out so well. His aunt has two homosexual children, one girl and one boy and I don’t know anything about his other cousins. That is just way too many homosexuals in one family. The uncle was never accepting of their lifestyle and made their lives miserable.
I went to the uncle’s funeral and the kids, then grown men, with top professional degrees, stood up and told everyone how they loved their father but didn’t like him because he had made their lives so miserable. I never heard anything like it.
Eva, citing a family with several homosexual members does not prove it is genetic. It only demonstrates—as the Bible says—that the sins of the fathers are visited on the children. The tendency toward certain sins are indeed found among families, but just because someone may tend toward theft or heavy drinking doesn’t mean they were born thieves or alcoholics.
As ForYourChildren said, homosexual lust and behavior is a sin, period.
And, I get it—you disagree.
