Happy St. Patrick's Day, I have kids and a job, so I don't celebrate anymore, but others should for me...safely...PLEASE.
I’m of French and Irish heritage, which means I have to surrender my whiskey.
Funny, I’ll allow, but most of those are making FUN of St. Patrick’s Day.
I’ll let myself really laugh when they do the same thing for PhilanderingPlagiarist’s Day —you know what that is.
It’s funny, the way one is made to feel a Spoil Sport, if you don’t fall over laughing about all this, right?
Cinqo de Mayo was MADE UP by a US booze distributor, BTW, and it’s mostly UNKNOWN in Mehico.

And no one in Ireland celebrated St. Patrick's Day until American tourists started showing up for it. It was a holiday created by Irish immigrants to New York.
My lovely wife is of Irish ancestry, also 2 of her great-grandparents came over from Sweden. So, along with her Irish temper I’ve been dealing with the Nordic Warrior Princess thing as well ;)
Cinco de Mayo is not made up. It is celebrated around Puebla, where the battle occurred. Mexican Independence Day is the big holiday south of the border though.
Yesterday, Finnish-Americans were celebrating St. Urho’s day. It seems that long ago, according to the legend, the vinyards and orange groves of Finland were threatened by a swarm of grasshoppers, but St. Urho drove them out of the country.
