Let’s be honest, the owner of the pub let his true opinion be known and now that he sees the risk to his business, he is regretting letting down the veil! In other words, just another selfish democrat leftist that bases his political preferences on emotions and then learns by experience that his preferences are wrongheaded.

I doubt that he will learn from this experience and begin to consider policies based on logic, reason and history. Instead, he will deflect blame to those that stand “in political opposition to him.”
