I see the tolerant left has banned the Honor Diaries from being shown on college campuses.
Odd, isnt it? They would go to the mat to defend Hollywoods freedom of speech right to depict the same sort of heinous crimes child rape, mutilation, torture, death that is portrayed in this film. Apparently the normally tolerant campus sensibilities were stretched beyond even their extremely high watermark when such behavior is credited to the religion of peace. And if its intolerable to the Council on AmericanIslam Relations (CAIR) sensibilities, thats good enough for us:
Although Honor Diaries has been widely acclaimed and screened internationally, CAIR has been agitating against it. As reliably happens when CAIR plays its tired Islamophobia card, universities across the nation cower especially universities with active Muslim Students Association chapters. (As weve observed before, the MSA is the foundation of the Muslim Brotherhoods infrastructure in the United States.) Starting with the University of Michigan at Dearborn, several schools have now decided not to screen the film after all.
Coincidentally, currently on view now at the University of Michigan, Dearbornistan, is a taxpayer funded art display by pro-choice artist Heather Ault titled, "4,000 Years of Choice" which includes gems such as this poster:
Somehow I dont think God means what she thinks it means.
The display is not about the political issues of abortion, a spokesperson for the university told SFLA, but about the history of women learning to abort their fetuses in order to gain control over when they are pregnant.
"Contrary to what they are saying, this display is not about pro-choice or even pro-abortion. This is about the history of women learning to control their reproductive system. Heather [Ault] is trying to get past the hanger and the idea of back ally dirty abortions and celebrate the ways women, and men for that matter, can control their reproductive system through birth control and even by aborting a fetus," Debra Schwartz, senior public relations representative for UM's Institute for Research on Women and Gender, said.
OK, I think I get it; regardless of our views on abortion, we must respect and tolerate other peoples views. Especially those who avow the pro-abortion stance. Christian? Pro-life? Not so much. Theyve had their time in the sun.
Regardless of your feelings on abortion, after seeing the poster below, I think you will all agree that the University of Michigan should add Basic English 101 - as either a first or second language - to the Womens Studies degree program.
Meanwhile, in other news of tolerance from the tolerant Left, youve all seen that Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich was forced to resign as newly appointed CEO because he had not apparently evolved on the gay marriage issue as quickly as Big Guy.
Mozilla threw its co-founder (and inventor of JavaScript, the programming language that practically made the intertubes) on his sword because, as the official company blog post states, they were being tolerant. Or something.
Mozilla prides itself on being held to a different standard and, this past week, we didnt live up to it. We know why people are hurt and angry, and they are right: its because we havent stayed true to ourselves.
True to yourself? What is that, a tyrannical force for political correct thinking?
Our organizational culture reflects diversity and inclusiveness. We welcome contributions from everyone regardless of age, culture, ethnicity, gender, gender-identity, language, race, sexual orientation, geographical location and religious views. Mozilla supports equality for all.
With the one exception of people who havent evolved to your way to thinking with respect to the definition of marriage?
Mozilla believes both in equality and freedom of speech. Equality is necessary for meaningful speech. And you need free speech to fight for equality. Figuring out how to stand for both at the same time can be hard.
What will the Tolerant Left so when faced with the inevitable culture-clash?
Right; be sure to get back to us, Mozilla, as soon as you figure out how to stand for both equality and freedom of speech. In the meantime well all be using Internet Explorer or Chrome.

My Long Island Library always used to have “book banning” week. Now the left is banning everything.
Shut down free speech and dissenting opinion as much as possible. If you go to leftist sites, they are all in favor of it. They are Nazis and they don’t even know it. They would be shocked - but they are thrilled to shut down opposing speech as much as possible - chick-fil-a, Mozilla, etc.
My mom always said that hate laws were just an attack on the 1st amendment - the start of it becoming un PC to express your opinion on unpopular things. It’s horrible what this country is becoming - that people are afraid to express their opinion for fear of losing their jobs, that campuses are shutting down divergent opinion.
