The Democrats don’t have the slightest concern over the potential impact of an increase in the minimum wage any more than they care about the accuracy of their “77 cents on the dollar” claim about women’s salaries.
These are proposals that are intended to fail so that Republican opposition can be used in midterm election attack ads. Of course even if these ridiculous initiatives did succeed no one in the Democrat party would care about the results. The jobs they are focused on saving are their own.

The reality is that businesses try to make a profit. It’s not easy, with taxes on everything, and stupid laws restricting what a business can do.

Do liberals just think we are dumb? because if raising the minimum wage didn’t have negative consequences, I think 100% of us would be behind raising it to $100,000 a year or more!
