Taking the Country Back starts with Taking the Children Back

Control of children from pre-kindergarten age is how President Barack Obama is making the Fundamental Transformation of America a fait accompli.

Depressing and demoralizing to know that today’s children are growing up under Marxist rule and that Marxism has been in the classroom for decades.

But it is not yesterday or the day before, but today where the tables can be turned, and being depressed, demoralized and giving up is never the answer.

It suits Obama and his mentors to make it appear that there are no good guys or bad guys anymore. If everyone is bad and hope is dead, there is no where to turn to, now where to run to anymore.

Nothing’s changed. The ageless Battle between Good and Evil is still very much here.

The Marxist indoctrination of our children ranks as the gravest long-term threat to the survival of this country as a free nation.

no, no, no... this did not start with Barack Obama... this has been going on for decades... and i just do not get how Conservative parents could send their children to government school... there are consequences to handing our children over for 13 years of liberal indoctrination...

the following are excerpts taken from John Taylor Gatto's The Public School Nightmare: Why fix a system designed to destroy individual thought?

over the first 50 years of our school institution Prussian purpose — which was to create a form of state socialism — gradually forced out traditional American purpose, which in most minds was to prepare the individual to be self-reliant.

...schooling after the Prussian fashion removes the ability of the mind to think for itself. It teaches people to wait for a teacher to tell them what to do and if what they have done is good or bad. Prussian teaching paralyses the moral will as well as the intellect.

By 1889, a little more than 100 years ago, the crop was ready for harvest. It that year the US Commissioner of Education, William Torrey Harris, assured a railroad magnate, Collis Huntington, that American schools were "scientifically designed" to prevent "over-education" from happening. The average American would be content with his humble role in life, said the commissioner, because he would not be tempted to think about any other role. My guess is that Harris meant he would not be able to think about any other role. In 1896 the famous John Dewey, then at the University of Chicago, said that independent, self-reliant people were a counter-productive anachronism in the collective society of the future. In modern society, said Dewey, people would be defined by their associations — not by their own individual accomplishments.

COMMON CORE = COMMON CRAP !

It's called leveling the intelectual capabilities of all children
to the lowest common denominator !
That's why unions are opposed to 'Charter Schools' !!

What’s the solution? Parents raising their own kids instead of handing them over to strangers for re-education? Now THERE’S a radical concept. (/sarc)

And what will happen to our economy if mothers drop out of the workforce to do the “degrading” work of making a home for their families? (/economic conservative)

Breadwinners’ wages will increase dramatically as the labor supply shrinks, sure. But even with this increased income, families will still have to cut a few corners...cooking their own meals, for instance. (Radical! /s)

This will not go over well (to put it mildly!) with the mega-corporations and their ilk, since their wealth depends on high consumption, high debt, and cheap labor. Just as they did more than a century ago, they’ll use every trick in the book to keep our kids in their hands. (It wouldn’t surprise me if the lackey federal government even tried to impose their bosses’ Communist Core standards on homeschoolers.)

I have read that one state has rejected the Common Core program.

You aren’t going to be “taking back” your kids until you get rid of more than half of government at all levels and in all branches. The fastest way to have all kinds of government in your life is to have kids. And it’s not just “them godless lib’ruls!” There are no shortage of big government conservatives who are more than willing to dictate how you raise your kids. Government that has the power to make everywhere a kid friendly environment also has the power to use those kids to micromanage your life.

But without a monolithic educational system how would we acquire the wonders of diversity?

Sadly when you read the fine print of that decision you find the ‘new state run standards’ are just common core rebranded.

I think IN just quit CC for its own standards. Mike Pence is Gov. there.

Indiana standards seem to be common core with a different name.

Pubbie govs are no help with this by and large.

Communist Goals (1963) Congressional Record--Appendix, pp. A34-A35 January 10, 1963

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

KGB Operative/Soviet defector, Yuri Alexander Bezmenov in a 1985 video:

“Ideological subversion is the process which is legitimate overt and open, you can see it with your own eyes. All you can do, all Americans needs to do is to unplug their bananas from their ears, open up their eyes and they can see. There is no mystery. It has nothing to do with espionage…. It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages. The first one being demoralization. It takes from fifteen to twenty years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy, exposed to the ideology of the enemy. In other words, Marxism, Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least three generations of American students, without being challenged or contra-balanced by the basic values of Americanism, American patriotism….”
