Democratic county legislator Ellen Birnbaum is facing pressure to resign after racist statements she made about local black constituents were released to the press.
The comments came when Birmbaum was discussing a community center in the mainly black neighborhood of New Cassel.
"Why would anyone want to go there," Brinbaum asked to fellow legislators. "It's a bad neighborhood, it's a ghetto. It's full of those black people."
She then added, "Come on, who from the rest of the town is going to go there? After all, mostly black people live there. All they want to do is play basketball."
Birnbaum is now facing harsh criticism for her remarks, but is refusing to step down. She also disputes some of the accounts of her words, stating, "Those are not my words... I did not use 'ghetto.'"

Going legalistic I see. So she said “hood” and not “getto” and deserves a pass, because she “cares”.

White democrats are usually more discrete.
This is a big story on LI. They have a beautiful facility that not being used because it’s’ in a crummy junkyard area in the hood.
For some reason, I'm not buying it.
Democrats will NEVER do the honorable thing and step down because they are NOT honorable people.
She's positioning herself to be part-owner of the LA Clippers.
If white people used the facility, the blacks would complain about gentrification.

Sounds a lot like Bob The Bozo Beckle, who opined on Fox’s “the Five” yesterday that Condi Rice was not a genuine Black because she didn’t grow up in the ghetto.
Thanks to Democrat racial policies since LBJ, decent Middle Class Black family are almost extinct.
That’s not true. I know of a Third Grade class in which several aspire to be “Hoes” and “Pimps”.

They have babies all over the place; as many as possible.
They love games, currently the "knockout" variety.
They enjoy using borrowed luxury cars.
They spread cheer by visiting random houses at night, whether anyone is home or not.
They support the garment industry by wearing hoodies outdoors, even when the temp is 95F.
They enjoy collecting EBT cards from as many jurisdictions as possible.

Well, considering that democrats’ cures for black crime is midnight basketball courts so she is being pretty consistent.
Since that was the goal (democrat voters forever!) it is the most desirable outcome possible.
It’s just great when they eat their own.
