( Weimaraner dog shot dead in owners back yard by police who were searching for missing three-year-old boy ) A family pet dog was shot dead in his owners back yard by a policeman searching for a missing three-year-old boy. Sean Kendall, 27, met with Salt Lake City police officials this week to discuss the fatal shooting of his two-year-old Weimaraner, Geist. Police were searching for a three-year-old boy named Kelby who had been reported missing - he was eventually found asleep in his own basement.
Police said the officer who was searching in Kendall's yard felt the dog was aggressive and going to attack him, and that's why he shot the animal.
Now Kendal is calling for the officer to be fired from the force, saying he is 'extremely frustrated and upset' at the apparent reluctance of the police to take action against the officer who shot his dog. 'The only thing that I would be satisfied with is having this officer terminated,' said Kendall, reported The Salt Lake Tribune. 'I feel that his judgment was completely inappropriate.'

It would be hilarious if people started pasting those decals to police cars.
I got bit when 5 ur 6 in My sandbox by the Shepard next door. He was eating and I looked over at him, he ran at my face, I put my arm up and he bit it 1 time and ran back to his food.
Ever since then any dog that bites Me gets pried off, mouth shut and bitten on the nose by Me while staring them in the eyes, I’ve drawn blood several times- I assure you it SCARES THE HELL outta them when they get bit back!
When I was in a SAR team, every search team did the house first. And then another team would rotate thru the house just to be sure. Kids have been known to wander back home and after seeing all the police and fire department stuff will think they are in trouble and hide in the house. a hourly search was done for this reason.
I’m beginning to think that maybe cops should be disarmed. If they need a gun, they should have to find a local gunowner willing to help them.
And to think we are giving these maniacs high tech military surplus equipment.
I bet after a time or two the pups remembered you and thought very well of you indeed.
It only takes once;)
Yes; exactly like the dog.
Exactly; my dogs are my family, you shoot them, I shoot you.
SSSU, I have lots of places to hide the bodies.
Better still; in a case like this, why aren’t these PIGS just carrying a taser instead of a loaded firearm?
Jack booted thug assholes just want an excuse to kill; something, anything, anytime.
I can hear them now in the break room; AAARRRGH, see me, I KILL 3 week old puppy. I pump eight rounds of 45 caliber into it for whining at me. I BIG MAN, I HAVE GUN AND BADGE.
