the exodus from the military is not just a purge. All the good people have had enough.
I wonder how many “hard drive crashes” it took to help this conclusion come along.
This will send a message to the troops that will be very degrading. Keep your oath and your honor and you get to be treated, if lucky, at the nearest VA hospital. Desert your unit, seek out the enemy, and viola, you get back pay and a hero’s welcome.
On the positive side....he had plenty of time to reflect upon life and it’s little issues....while sitting inside a cage. Maybe those Army colonels weren’t so stupid after all....maybe his associates in the Army were actually good buddies.
There’s just no way that they will find cause for a court martial with this guy....after the White House paid such a huge price for his release. The entire legacy of the President is gone once one of the five jihad characters does another 9-11 plan and carries it out.
With the proviso, only with a traitor as POTUS.

IIRC this is “old news” reported as current. The Army’s initial investigations shortly after he deserted found no evidence. Now that he is back, they are re-investigating and AFAIK the investigators have not yet spoken to the traitor.
The VA requested additional info from me. I sent it to them. Then a few months later I get a letter saying since they didn’t get the information they would make a ruling without it. But, that decision was made about a month BEFORE they notified me.
So, now I’m waiting on the rejection then I’ll get a lawyer.
I have three conditions that is on the Agent Orange list. The VA says that if you were in contact with the toxin it is assumed it caused your illnesses. I was stationed where it was stored and was in Viet Nam for a short time. Now they’re saying I have to prove my conditions were caused by Agent Orange. Seems like they can’t make up their mind.
How do they clear him of something they haven’t even asked him about?

To be fair, the same thing happened after our POWs were released by the North Vietnamese. The handful of collaborters were let off. Some POWs weren’t happy about it, but the Military figured that years in enemy POW camps was punishment enough.

I wonder if anyone was prosecuted after WWII?
Mine is so obviously linked to my original case that all they can do is stall. Last time they sent me to some Nigerian physician at an outfit that contracts with them just to examine claimants. I think he got me a higher rating than I would have otherwise. He wanted my wife to drive me home instead of me driving and was surprised they even bothered to make me see him.
i couldn’t answer that if they promised me a pecan pie and a new fishing pole.

I have a friend who’s VA doctor told him he has the worst case of neuropathy she’s ever seen. He swears she put in for his disability and he didn’t even know she was doing it. One day he got a check. He deserves it. He can hardly walk. He sprayed agent orange in Nam and was in the jungle where it was used. Plus, he loaded it.
Of course. A president that traded 5 heavyweight terrorists for a deserter that was found guilty of misconduct would have a lot to answer for.
For anyone who lives or works in a tall building, do NOT go to work on 9/11. Berghdal is only getting publicity and health care because he is a distraction from Soetoro’s true plans.
