Skip to comments.Palin Time in the RNC!

I just couldn't sleep after reading the articles on the Cochran campaign. As I lay down to TRY to sleep, the thought came to me: We need a good house-cleaning at the RNC good ol' boys club. Who better than Sarah Palin? Reince Priebus should resign after this fiasco, along with EVERY SINGLE SENATOR who helped Thad Cochran with his run-off campaign. I know THAT won't happen, but if ANY of them put up money for this, then they are culpable, as well.
I wrote a letter to Preibus last week. I shared my disgust with the RNC and what they had resorted to doing in the past couple election cycles to be certain that few, if any, conservatives made it through the primaries. This is the icing on the cake. It is either time to clean house thoroughly, or we form a 3rd party now. I am sick of this, these games they play, and now...how do they ever think a black conservative who presently still votes democrat would EVER trust the republican party again?
1000% right on target and well written.
The figurehead at the RNC will have no real power and will be blamed for all the trouble that the RINOs can start. Unless we can change most of the National Committee and the top GOP officials, she should stay far far away from that mess.
I have a better chance of being the next RNC chairman. She is “everything they don’t want to be” to paraphrase MasterCard.
I agree 100%
Who better than Sarah Palin?
Probably lots of people; I harbor doubt about her because she supports John Mccain:
BuckeyeTexan:The above from this thread.
Horsesh*t. She didnt rally to his defense. She made a few positive comments and then outlined, specifically, where she disagrees with McCain. This is just another attempt to marginalize what she actually said about McCain.
From the article:I consider Senator John McCain an American hero and a friend. He fights to remind our President that the federal government's first priority must be strong defense of our homeland1, and, like Congressman Johnson, he fights against big-spending colleagues who don't prioritize for our military's needs.2 Upon the Senator's shoulders he's carried part of our message of opposition to today's "fundamental transformation"3 of America directly to the problem: President Obama 4and Harry Reid's far left agenda.
- Which is why he opposes securing our borders and embraces amnesty.
- Which is why he voted to end the F-22, saying:[it] may very well become the most expensive, corroding, hangar queen ever in the history of modern aviation
- Which is why he holds "town hall" meetings on amnesty... tickets for which aren't available to the general public.
- Which is why he made this Freudian slip. (John McCain Says Obama Will Save America)
From the Article:I appreciate Senator McCain's steadfastness in demanding truth in the White House's Benghazi cover-up. Because of his persistence we WILL get that truth, and then more eyes will be open to see how dangerous an Obama-led retreating America is in this volatile world.1
- Which is why McCain refused to back impeachment hearings over Benghazi. (Huffington Post link.)
From the Article:But then Palin ever so gently gave her former running mate the back of her hand. That's the back of her hand? Hell, I've received praise from my own father more critical than that.It goes without saying we don't all agree on all political issues. For instance, I shall keep pushing to open ANWR, I oppose letting illegal aliens cut in line and receive American benefits via "immigration reform," and I oppose any Congressional action that allows President Obama to incur more U.S. debt.
I particularly like the photo of McCain with the Muslim Brotherhood leadership. Nothing says support for our military quite like that.
You're not the only one:
Egyptians Enraged by U.S. Outreach to Muslim Brotherhood
First two paragraphs of that article:In the eyes of tens of millions of Egyptians, Senators John McCains and Lindsey Grahams recent words and deeds in Egyptwhich have the blessing of President Obamahave unequivocally proven that U.S. leadership is aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood.Yep, that's some support!
Egyptian media is awash with stories of the growing anger regarding this policy.
Even the Egyptians see him as more more an enemy of justice than Palin does here!
IMO supporting McCain [or Romney] is a serious cause to doubt one would be against a good ole boy system.
To some extent she owed McCain some support, but she has not given total support to him. I have angst about that, myself, and she probably should’ve not aligned herself with him on the 2008 ticket. That, in itself, has probably given her some regret, but we all sometimes make decisions that we cannot undo so easily. However, she did clean house in ALaska and that WAS her own party. I see few people on the political scene that have the gumption to stand one’s own party down until they do the right thing. Maybe Allen West as an alternative, but Palin I think would still be better. They’d never elect Allen West. They didn’t help him when the election was OBVIOUSLY stolen from him. He was on his own. Looking back, one wonders if the RNC didn’t coach that lady to go into the hospital so the time would run out on West’s attempts to verify that fraud was rampant.
Why would you not expect the Pubbies to do this?
Their actions were not at all...unexpected.
Just see my tag line for the reason why!
If you want the Pubbies to be a conservative, non-collectivist party you have to vote almost all of them out.
Raze the GOP, then raise it
The lefties have co-opted both parties. It really is time for a real alternative!
The culture of collectivism of the Pubbies goes back to at least the 1920s when they were known as being “progressive.”
The left and gop-e would make her life miserable. She should beat up Rove, and take his lunch & job.
My family is mostly Republicans and when we get calls from the Rep. Party for donating money, When we get through with them they are sorry they called us. I really gave them a piece of my mind (and no money)
That means that it took seven rounds of voting for the Powers That Be to be swayed by Reince Preibus' promises and begging.
I can't see Sarah Palin doing any of that.
Also, though I'm a bit less sure on this part; I think the Chairman has to live in Washington. Even if that isn't a fact, they probably spend the majority of their time there. Much of the rest of their time is spent traveling and fundraising. I don't see Sarah Palin doing that, either.
The only chance of her doing any of what you seem to be suggesting is if they hand it to her and rescind many of the requirements of the job. I don't see the Republican National Committee doing any of that.
How do you explain away Palin’s support of Jeff Flake over more conservative candidates in other AZ Senate seat? In House Flake was working with Luis Gutierrez to pass Illegal Alien Amnesty
I don’t know that anyone is claiming Palin deserves Sainthood for being the model of a perfect conservative; but for all her detractors complaints, I haven’t noticed any of them suggest a better, or even subjectively equal alternative to Palin when it comes to drawing crowds, fund raising or boosting a candidate’s campaign. I’ll readily agree she is not perfect, but no-one else is either.
Here’s how I look at it — if I have a choice between a “Reince Priebus” or a “Sarah Palin” influencing which candidate to promote & support, I have *no* problem picking Palin. But if you might have a better option in mind, I’m all ears.
