Texas Gov. Rick Perry said Wednesday on “Hannity” that President Obama needs to act now to stop the surge in illegal immigrants flooding across his state’s border, calling it “a humanitarian crisis that he has the ability to stop.”
The Republican governor spoke out after meeting with Obama in Texas Wednesday afternoon. Both sides called the meeting “constructive” and said they agreed philosophically. However, Perry said he is concerned that Obama did not indicate he will take the immediate action he requested: to use his power as commander-in-chief to send the National Guard to secure the border.
“You know, I was like, Mr. President, you can deal with this. You can unilaterally direct the Department of Defense to put those troops on the border…” he told Fox News, later adding, “The president needs to understand that the single most important thing that he can do is put the National Guard on the border to coordinate with local law enforcement, with state law enforcement, with the Border Patrol…”
Obama said Wednesday that he is open to the National Guard suggestion, but that he believed it would only be a temporary fix.
Perry also criticized the fact that Obama is not visiting the border on his trip to Texas so he can witness the crisis first-hand. Obama said in a press conference Wednesday that doing so would be engaging in political “theater” and not productive.

On Thursday, after President Obama finished a 40-minute speech at the historic Paramount Theater in downtown Austin, his motorcade sped a few blocks away for a quick lunch at Franklin's, a noted barbeque spot that was packed as always with a lunch crowd.
As presidents tend to do, Obama cut to the front of the line so he could order takeout for his official travel party – offering to pay for the two people he jumped ahead of.
The lucky lunchers? Houston resident Bruce Finsted and his daughter Faith, of Austin.
Their order: three pounds of beef, two pounds of ribs, a half-pound of sausage and a half-pound of turkey for themselves and two other family members already seated.
When Obama heard their order, he cracked: "Hold on now. How many folks are you guys feeding? Just kidding."
Smiling, he quickly paid the tab – first pulling out a wad of $20 bills and then, after asking his trip director if his credit card was good, offering his JP Morgan card.
The tab? Around $300.

I can see Obama being like Bush with telling the National Guard to turn away and run as fast they can to become out of danger and contact border agents for to protect them.This is and was all for show.Obama has no intent of making any positive changes on our side of the border. Looking to the south indeed they do have Obama's full attention to ignore the rule of law and continue sending thousands and thousands to us weekly.
It isn’t a “humanitarian crisis,” it’s an invasion by foreign children.
And those children are being used to destabilize the country, by moving them (and their diseases) into the interior of the nation.
It’s an invasion YOU can stop, Governor.
Calling on the federal govt to deploy the National Guard when you posses the power to deploy your State Guard does not absolve of your duty.
The federal govt has not shown any interest in deploying the National Guard.
Having the law and reason on your side but capitulating to the lawless simply because they are more willful is cowardice.

Perry is the one who helps produce incentives for the illegals to come here. He passed in state tuition for illegals and said that people that don’t support that don’t have a heart. I have a hard time thinking he is genuine given his past soft views on the illegals
