The Impeachable One only wants impeachment to go forward before the 2014 elections is so some sympathy votes might help some Democrats hold onto their seats.

Maybe Boner knows this so he is sitting back, waiting (I hate giving the idiot the benefit of the doubt)

Your comment (#32) was spot on!! Excellent!

Now, if the GOP does not think it is prudent to talk of impeachment before November, let Governor Palin go rogue and see if she can up the figures from 33% to at least above 50%. Then it will be difficult for the media not to follow on.

Some interesting points from from the poll: First the negative one - more than 50% of the sample felt that the president had been about right or not gone far enough in expanding the power of the presidency. However, it was only 4% less who thought the same about President Bush in 2006. Maybe you really do do rulers!

OK, so more information is needed (and remember the poll was “adults” on phone - not the best of samples, probably a lot of LIV:s).

So, on the positive side, the figure 33% for impeachment is higher than the figures CNN compares with for both Clinton and GW Bush (29 and 30%, respectively).

The Boehner lawsuit is not much more popular than impeachment, 41 vs 33%.

So, what do we think the figures would have been like 2 months ago, before Sarah Palin started to talk about impeachment? (There were others before her, for sure, but she is still the one with the media buzz.)

Can she, with the excellent assistance of Obama, Holder, Kerry et co, get these figures to increase further? That is the question.

PS: If it had been a Republican president, what is the likelihood that the headline of this piece would have been that the opinion for impeachment was the highest for more than 15 years (notwithstanding the fact that the difference is not statistically significant)?

So Basically what you are saying is Sarah is getting the news out there and getting people talking about it.

You know, taking small Progressives steps towards an ultimate goal.

Something MUST be done, the Regime will place these People they have flown from Honduras RIGHT NEXT TO YOUR CHILDREN IN YOUR SCHOOLS. And we have NO recourse because......It might be politically risky?

Are we that far gone?

As you may or may not know, I am watching this from abroad, so it is hard for me to say whether you are that far gone or not. Given the response in the poll, it appears that “We the people” are not fully aware of the issues. This is something Governor Palin mentions in her op-ed.

If it is true I find it awful, but not surprising, given the mediocre (at best) news media available for those who don’t actively search for news.

However, IMHO this is one type of issue where I think a non-aligned, rogue, media-savvy person like Sarah Palin can do a tremendous amount of good. Not alone of course, but with the help of other good men and women. But, I think she has found the correct approach in this piece, Information, information, information - then it is up to people to start to decide themselves.

Note, I am not saying that this is how this situation must be handled, or should be handled, only that if no one in a leading position (GOP or Democrat) dare to pursue the impeachment question, then Palin’s way may be the only one. And even if it does not get you all the way there, it may still do some good such as scaring the WH from going all out with some of the more outlandish ideas that are being proposed.

Obama is doing everything in his power to destroy the USA and Israel because he hates both..he was raised to hate America, he was brought up by Communists, surrounded by Communists, and started his career in the home of a terrorist..its no wonder he became what he became..he wants to destroy Israel because that is his progressive mentality, that Israel is the enemy and that everyone should embrace Islam..Obama wants all these illegals in America for the same reason the left wants them in America, so that they will have power forever..you will have 20+ million new Democrat voters..that gives them power forever

I’m glad the founding Fathers didn’t have that attitude. Screw their base. Stand up and fight for what you know is right! If you fight with passion and conviction, people will follow.

Yes - “and respect the sacrifices”. Leave it to Sarah to put things in total perspective.

Some have referred to Sarah as ‘the American version of Margaret Thatcher’, and I see even that may be an understatement.

Anything less than a Palin/Cruz ticket in ‘16 is tantamount to waiving the white flag to the globalist elites. House and Senate in November; Palin/Cruz two years later.

Well said, KCL. If that thought doesn’t make someone understand the gravity of the situation, I don’t think anything will.

The benefit of an impeachment would be the airing/disclosure of Obama’s high crimes.

Since the old media are complicit in the cover-up, articles of impeachment rather than a nonexistent news chronicle will serve as the permanent historical record of His presidency.

And, if we should not recover our freedoms, if we should continue our head first dive into despotism, history will record that the people of the United States made one last effort to save their republic.

This whole talk of impeachment only serves to rally the democratic base. Not only is it a senseless waste of time, it is counter-productive.

You're absolutely right.

If we had some pubbies, Boehner and McConnell specifically, who had brass balls so big they clanked when they walked, we'd have a different situation.

From Sarah's article:

This is nothing more than enticement and should be completely ignored.

As things stand now, impeachment is impossible. Even if we take the Senate it may be impossible.

And if Article of Impeachment are drawn up, it will likely take till late 2015 to work them through congress. By that time nobama will be almost through with his term.

Which brings up an interesting question: there are prolly dozens (hundreds?) of people nobama wants to pardon (Lois L. comes to mind). If a President is impeached, can he grant pardons before he leaves office?

We haven't addressed the possibility nobama has something evil in mind that will cause the 2014 elections to be canceled or put off for some time.

You’re confusing impeachment with conviction. Bill Clinton was impeached in the house but was not convicted in the senate and served out the rest of his term which included several pardons.

Impeachment results form a majority vote in the house. Think Grand Jury. Conviction requires a 2/3 vote in the Senate.

How did that work with Bill Clinton?
