Moscow is preparing a bill to prevent Russian troops from posting selfies and other photographs on social media sites, according to July 29 reports.

The proposed legislation came after soldiers published images on social media sites with captions saying they had been firing artillery into Ukraine.

“We shelled Ukraine all night long,” Russian soldier Vadim Grigoryev wrote beneath a picture of weaponry he published last week on Vkontakte, Russia’s most popular social media network.

"selfies": latest "new" word. Yet another display of one of the seven deadly sins.
By the way PRIDE, or arrogance, is always listed as the FIRST of the seven deadly ones...an old sin, the ORIGINAL sin.

Guess we’ll have to tell our guys that also. But was the shelling justified?

MOSCOW, July 10 (Reuters) - Russia protested to Kiev on Thursday, saying a Russian checkpoint on the border with Ukraine was fired on by the Ukrainian military, which is fighting separatists in the east of the country.

“The Russian side expresses its strong protest and demands an end to the shelling of Russian territory,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement, saying it was not the first time the border post at Gukovo had come under fire. (Reporting by Alissa de Carbonnel; Editing by Robin Pomeroy)

From Russia to Ban Soldier ‘Selfies’ to Prevent Incriminating Evidence from Going Viral:

"Clamping down on media, social or otherwise, is nothing new for Vladimir Putin’s Russia. For more, check out, 'Putin II Tightens Grip on Russian Media'.”

In the U.S. the fifth-column MSM has long been kneepadded to do the will of their demonicrat masters.

We have nowhere near the restrictions our soldiers faced during WWII. Cameras strictly forbidden most of the time, leadership reading letters home to make sure nobody wrote about anything that might give away operational planning etc.

Russian response to one stray shell was continuous bombardment of Ukrainian positions for a month causing countless loses of life and property. Surely justified self-defense. Not.

The Ukrainian government is the one who's been shelling their own civilians not the Russians.

That is a good one. I'm sure Ivan will remember that after a few years in Siberia.

We should go back to the restrictions of WWII. There’s too much Jerry Rivers drawing in the sands these days.

There is proof that the Russkies have not only been shelling, but shooting GRADS and moving weapons across the border, and all of this predating the Russkie claim of "Ukrainians shelling" their side of the border. BTW, they, like you, are pathological liars, and are not to be believed even if they tell you what day of the week it is.

There are satellite photos of Russkie bombardments and even where their shells are landing! And yet, the Russkies will go down to the end lying that it's the Ukrainians who are doing it.

And to think that it was all because of guys like this:

Are these selfies proof that Putin IS operating in the Ukraine? Photographs posted by Russian soldier on Instagram ‘were taken across the border’

You quote unconfirmed information put out by the Kiev government. You have no creditability. I think the Russians called BS on that also.

Well let’s start a war with Russia based upon a couple of Selfies. I guess that’s the way things are these days. Let’ do it. Send in the bombers.
