Missouri Democratic Governor Jay Nixon announced the world is watching history unfold and that the Show Me state must lead the way with a vigorous prosecution. So in other words, nothing but a murder conviction will suffice. How commendable! All this from the same man who admonished the police department for releasing a videotape of Mike Brown robbing a convenience store because it supposedly tainted any hope of justice? Hmm, Im not sure how the truth impedes justice except to show Mr. Brown was indeed the same criminal who vigorously assaulted Officer Wilson just moments later but its obvious Governor Nixon has already joined the lynch mob in order to appease the national media and his partys race-baiting militants. Once again, if youre the elected leader of a state, let alone a nation, you should stand for an ideal higher than skin color. You should unequivocally embody the rule of law; the notion that EVERYONE, regardless of public opinion or outrage, is innocent until proven guilty. Honestly, is that so difficult even for a child? The only victimization card that needs to be played in Ferguson is the one that jails ignorant politicians for trivializing due process and a mans right to a fair trial. After all, if were truly talking about injustice then no one should have to keep their hands-up in order to hold a man, or better yet a nation, down.
Oh, and P.S
.I have no doubt youll hold the unemployed looters and righteous rioters to your same vigorous standard of accountability. Those hard working, taxpaying citizens who lost their property and livelihood to opportunistic anarchy would love to see what history says about them.
It must be the name. Remember when Nixon got in trouble for commenting on a case while he was president? He declared Manson guilty before the trial.
Same difference!
