Vanity....Doug Ose beats Ami Bera in California CD7

So Doug Ose beats Ami Bera in California's CD7 last night. Good, right?

TOPICS: Chit/Chat; Government
KEYWORDS: california; politics; prolife; vanity
Except every time I heard one of Ose's commercials he would very clearly and at the beginning state that he is pro-choice. Is this now what it takes for a Republican to win in California? Have we now become like New York and Massachusetts?

"...Have we now become like New York and Massachusetts?"

God forbid. I live in the Gulag Massachusettskiy, and should the rest of the country go the way of this "Commonwealth" (...a bigger misnomer might be hard to come up with...), then we're all screwed.

Same here. I almost didn't vote in that race, but in the end I held my nose, filled in the circle and cried a little bit. Ose is no friend of personal liberties. Actually, he's more of a crony capitalist, but he's slightly better than the socialist Bera.

Glad to see California’s Costa went down too. I know nothing about the Republican who won

Are you guys joking? California is now much more liberal than Massachusetts or New York. Mass just elected a republican governor. CAlifornia doesn’t have a single republican in statewide office.

Most news sites are still not calling it. So put for now put it down as ‘Ose leads” rather than “Ose wins.”
