He expects the next Republican nominee to be either a tea party Senator or a governor from the Midwest. He wouldn’t predict beyond that.

Hmmm, good or bad prognosticator?

I wish Hillary would get nominated. She’s a terrible candidate. Her horrible cackle, her lying every interview, her grating voice, her ugly looks. She’s a terrible candidate for the Dems. We’d be lucky if she gets their nomination. The more you see of her, the less you like her, which is why a completely inexperienced Senator upended her last time out.

I'd be more than willing to make that trade, no Jeb for no Hillary.
It's a win-win.

I think he means a governor from Wisconsin.

We should be so lucky to not have either of these clowns.

I would love to see Elizabeth Warren against Ted Cruz in the general. The independents will be confused!

Charlie Cook has been a very good prognosticator.

He called the 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012 races accurately. In 2014, he didn’t predict the size of the GOP wave, but did assert that it would be a wave election.

I think he is on the mark here.

The article is a pretty good account of his read on the political landscape. I’ve heard him say these things, although usually not all lumped together as we usually talk about different subjects. His views on Hillary’s chances seem to be firming up. The GOP, less so, but I don’t believe that he really thinks that the media darlings of the GOP have much of a chance.

One important takeaway from this is that at this point in the election cycle, he is mostly talking to the professionals and giving them broad trends that will help them shape campaigns that don’t yet exist. The big players aren’t going to put money and talent into a campaign that’s likely to fall short, so this is very bad news for Hillary and good news for solid conservatives with a track record. Scott Walker and Ted Cruz come to my mind.

She never had a fastball, and is utterly with skill, insight or talent of any sort.

And Jeb Bush can go to frickin’ Hell.

This fool obviously doesn’t realize nominees are not picked by the people.

It will be Bush and Clinton.

We are doomed!

Charlie Cook, one of the most respected political experts in the country, believes Hillary Clinton has only a 25-30 percent chance of running for president, and in any case he thinks she is either “rusty” or “she has lost her fastball.” He bases that on her disastrous book tour, in which she said some very inappropriate things and also did not sell many books.

A few months ago, I thought it was a foregone conclusion that Hillary was running. Lately, however, I'm not so sure. There was the lackluster book tour, with a few gaffes (such as the "dead broke" comment) along the way. Not a single Democratic candidate that Hillary campaigned for this year was able to win. I suspect that many Democrats see her as someone whose best days are behind her. Those Democrats looking for a "historic" woman candidate now have an alternative in Elizabeth Warren. As a result, Hillary is faced with a tough choice. On the one hand, her enormous ego is still telling her she's entitled to the presidency. On the other hand, she can't bear the thought of running for the nomination a second time, only to be rejected by her own party yet again.

Spoke with a Canadian woman the other day who appeared to hold very strong spiritual beliefs with insight.

She stated the next President would be a landslide for Kasich, present Governor of Ohio. Her comments about Obama were far less praiseworthy.

I hadn’t kept up with him. Any ideas?

“Bush has two issues working against him to win the Republican primary for the 2016 presidential election,” Cook said. “One is immigration reform, which he favors; and two, is his advocacy of education reform.”

Three is his name.

Sorry. Jeb Bush could be the greatest candidate the world has ever seen (he ain't) but he still could not get elected President. There are too many "Hell no, no more Bush" voters on both the left and the right.

If Jeb Bush gets the nomination he will truly unite the nation. Both conservatives and liberals will join together to make sure he doesn't get elected.

I think that Hillary’s recent health problems with her brain may be the real deciding factor that causes her to pull out of the race, rather than risk being rejected by her own party once again.

No, I would wager it was because she abandoned those people in Benghazi and watched them get murdered in the white hut.

She knows she has too much baggage. She can't give us anything...she has no platform.

She's still playing the "womens rights" card and we're way beyond that.

And Obamacare is Hillarycare. You think she wants to deal with that. It's an embarrassment. An unknown, neat, articulate black got it though....something she couldn't do.

And she knows way down deep that the party is going to do the same thing they did the last time....pull someone out of their _ _ _.
