Rudy Giuliani is an Exceptional American
February 21, 2015 | Vanity

Posted on 02/20/2015 11:59:40 PM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

After reading and listening to all the upset coming from the Left over Rudy's assessment of the President of the United States, it struck me - how different things would be if Barack Hussein Obama had been America's Mayor instead of Rudy.

Rudy Giuliani is still on the job, serving as America's Mayor.

Below is a quote about Mayor Giuliani and his actions after 9-11 (written in the NYT - in an otherwise typical NYT's hit piece) on September 21, 2007:

"Political leadership is an uncertain alchemy, an admixture of the symbolic and substantive and the visceral. In times of consuming trauma, psychologists and historians say, a leader must speak with a trusted voice and sketch honestly the painful steps to safety. A leader must weave a narrative of shared loss while acknowledging consuming anger.

All this Mr. Giuliani accomplished, mourning the dead, comforting the grieving and cheering the living even as the police and the National Guard moved in."

----

Rudy Giuliani is an exceptional American.

Democrats have a free ride to say anything they wish to say as they define their political foes.

We've all familiar with their unbelievable nastiness and the lies that they conjure up to ruin people.

It's an art, and they've perfected it. They do what all dictators, and would be dictators, around the world do:

Don't blame me for your misery, it's that guy over there who is at fault [usually the United States is the evil source of their misery - sound familiar?].

They care.

We hate.

It's a pack of lies.

“.......Barack Obama is not the president of the world; he is the president of the United States, and his principal duty is seeing to our national security. Wishful thinking and sentimental letters from fifth-grade girls will not solve the problem — not when the president cannot even quite bring himself to say, honestly and forthrightly, what the problem is.”

“....A new intelligence assessment, circulated by the Department of Homeland Security this month and reviewed by CNN, focuses on the domestic terror threat from right-wing sovereign citizen extremists and comes as the Obama administration holds a White House conference to focus efforts to fight violent extremism.

Some federal and local law enforcement groups view the domestic terror threat from sovereign citizen groups as equal to — and in some cases greater than — the threat from foreign Islamic terror groups, such as ISIS, that garner more public attention.

The Homeland Security report, produced in coordination with the FBI, counts 24 violent sovereign citizen-related attacks across the U.S. since 2010.....”

“Obama loves America…

…Except for all the small towns where they cling to their guns and religion.

But Obama loves America…

…Except for the military whose health care he cut and whom he sent into harm’s way without air support to avoid offending the Afghans and whom he allowed to die on VA waiting lists.

Still Obama loves America…

…Except for all the devout Christians and Jews who don’t want to be forced to violate their faith by funding abortion or making gay marriage wedding cakes.

Nevertheless Obama loves America…

… Except for the middle class whose health insurance he took away

… Except for the working poor losing their jobs to illegal aliens

… Except for the families he’s fining for not buying garbage Obamacare plans

But Obama loves America…

…Just not the American parts of it......................”

I’m starting to think Megyn Kelly would feel more at home on MSNBC. She really works hard trying to devalue, deflate or otherwise diminish republicans. Careful Megyn, all your
‘New Democrat Pals’ would loudly rejoice if your show lost stature. They are not your friends, and we conservatives are not your enemies.

Everyone has their day in the sun, I guess. Sean Hannity never knew what hit him until it was too late. She’ll do her
‘Bad Girl’ thing for a couple of years, until she decides to re-reinvent herself. I have to remember, these people (talk show hosts) are primarily entertainers and explainers. They don’t belong to some Noble Order of The Seriously Serious News Anchor. That iconic age is mostly over. Even Charlie Rose has come out of the night to cohost a morning show, but I still think he looks way out of place around all that puff and fluff, and he now has a perfect face for radio.

Sorry ... Rudy is a public personality, no more nor less "exceptional" than any other citizen, and especially since most every one I know has been saying similar things for the last 8 yeaqrs (we saw him comin' a long way off)

I'm glad people are finally being vocal, but I have the feeling it is safe to do so (where were they 5 years ago ?) now because ..

(wait a minute ... gott'a straighten my tin foil ... )

it's a done deal nothing will ever happen to the bastard and/or the fix is in and America disappears in a couple of years ... making all these public displays moot

“.....Does Barack Obama love his country? Call me a rube for saying so, but it’s a fair question.

To ask the question is not the same as venting the familiar swamp gasses: that he’s a foreigner, at heart if not in fact; that he’s a Manchurian candidate sent to undermine the republic; that he’s a secret Marxist or secret jihadist sympathizer; etc. Put it this way: Why would anybody who sees the world the way Barack Obama does love America?....”

Mark Steyn: O Beautiful, For Specious Guys... "The US media have had a fit of the vapors over Rudy Giuliani's suggestion that Barack Obama does not love America. As the Instapundit says, their reaction suggests that Giuliani hit a nerve.

For my own part, I am way beyond that. By the way, I'm growing rather weary of the cheap comparisons of Obama with Neville Chamberlain. The British Prime Minister got the biggest issue of the day wrong. But no one ever doubted that he loved his country. That's why, after his eviction from Downing Street, Churchill kept him on in his ministry as Lord President of the Council, and indeed made Chamberlain part of the five-man war cabinet and had him chair it during his frequent absences. When he died of cancer in October 1940, Churchill wept over his coffin.

So please don't insult Neville Chamberlain by comparing him to Obama. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, because conspiracies are generally a comforting illusion: the real problem with Obama is that the citizens of the global superpower twice elected him to office. Yet one way to look at the current "leader of the free world" is this: If he were working for the other side, what exactly would he be doing differently?

For example, he has spent most of this week hosting an international conference on something called "violent extremism". Whatever may be said of Munich, Chamberlain never hosted a three-day summit on "rearmament" in general whose entire purpose was to deny that "rearmament" and "Germany" were in any way connected. Yet that is exactly the message the United States government has just offered to the world - in between such eccentric side spectacles as Marie Harf, star of the hilarious new comedy Geopolitically Blonde, explaining her jobs-for-jihadis program, and the new hombre in charge of the planet's mightiest military machine having his woman felt up on camera by Joe Biden. Now there's a message to send to the misogynists of Burqastan about what happens when you let the missuses out of their body bags...........

[SNIP]

.....We are at war with a depraved enemy, but we cannot be allowed to assert our moral superiority even to head-choppers, rapists, slavers and immolators. Thus the priority of Barack ("Hey, how 'bout those Crusades?") Obama has been to undermine our sense of probity, and make us not merely equivalent to but worse than our enemies. That was the purpose of this last week of Official Lies."

Mark Steyn:

I have quoted before my old friend Theodore Dalrymple on the purposes of lies in totalitarian societies:

In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control.

Giuliani has done some good things over the years.

But he is pro-abortion. That means he is a coward and opportunist, and will turn a blind eye to mass violence and monstrous injustic, provided there’s something in it for him.

Like all pro-aborts, he is totally unfit for any public office.
