No one can give me a compelling reason why we are forced to change our clocks twice a year. I say we abolish this nonsense, or at least split the difference by half an hour, and leave it alone.
But, in lieu of that, I thought we could have a music thread for Saturday night featuring time-themed songs. I'll start it out with Simon and Garfunkel's, "Hazy Shade of Winter."

As I understand it, states can exempt themselves from Daylight Saving Time. Arizona and Hawaii do not change their clocks. For whatever reason, almost all states decided to participate.

I would like to propose Weekend Savings Time.
Turn clocks back an hour every Saturday at midnight.
Turn clocks ahead an hour Monday at 10 AM.

During the DST months, it gives people more outdoor daylight time after work, for all sorts of activity.
AND ... during the winter months, I definitely want it to go back a full hour for the benefit of the kinds going to school.

It hasn't come to Youtube, but a recording is available on this Russian site.

No one is going to listen to you ... especially during the summer months, because of the extra daylight time after work, so you and y.our family can have various outdoor activities. For me, I found it to be almost like having ANOTHER DAY after work. It was great!
