WikiLeaks releasing another part of Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement [Repubs on suicide watch]
Breitbart ^ | June 10, 2015 | Alex Swoyer

Posted on 06/10/2015 6:28:42 PM PDT by concernedcitizen76

The Healthcare Annex, according to WikiLeaks, “seeks to regulate state schemes for medicines and medical devices. It forces healthcare authorities to give big pharmaceutical companies more information about national decisions on public access to medicine, and grants corporations greater powers to challenge decisions they perceive as harmful to their interests.”

Dr. Deborah Gleeson, who gave professional review and analysis to WikiLeaks said, “The purported aim of the Annex is to facilitate ‘high-quality healthcare’ but the Annex does nothing to achieve this. It is clearly intended to cater to the interests of the pharmaceutical industry.” Gleeson added, “Nor does this do anything to promote ‘free trade.’”

“The inclusion of the Healthcare Transparency Annex in the TPP serves no useful public interest purpose. It sets a terrible precedent for using regional trade deals to tamper with other countries’ health systems and could circumscribe the options available to developing countries seeking to introduce pharmaceutical coverage programs in the future,” noted Gleeson.

For Americans, it means Congress wouldn’t be able to reform Medicare, reported WikiLeaks.

WikiLeaks reports the document isn’t released until four years after the TPP is passed into law.

“The TPP is the world’s largest economic trade agreement that will, if it comes into force, encompass more than 40 percent of the world’s GDP. Despite the wide-ranging effects on the global population, the TPP and the two other mega-agreements that make up the “Great Treaty”, (the TiSA and the TTIP), which all together cover two-thirds of global GDP, are currently being negotiated in secrecy,” notes WikiLeaks.

Republicans are committing political suicide, and they apparently don't care. Boehner and Ryan and even Cruz are on board the TPP Titanic with Obama, arguably the world's most despised liar and fraud. Obamacare and now Obamatrade? Can someone justify why states anguishing over fast-disappearing freedoms and sovereignty should remain in an unholy federation vise-gripped by savage barbarians in Washington? The savage barabarians of our time don't dress in animal skins and carry clubs and spears. They wear three-piece expensive suits and carry iPhones and direct the sacking and burning of the states and the citizenry from luxury ratholes in Washington, DC.

"The draft of the agreement isn’t even available to some of the negotiating countries’ governments." !!!

"However, WikiLeaks reported, 'Hundreds of large corporations, however, have been given access to portions of the text, generating a powerful lobby to effect changes on behalf of these groups.'"

"WikiLeaks is offering a $100,000 reward to anyone who can provide the rest of the TPP. At this time, WikiLeaks has raised $62,000 of that reward money."

I cannot think of a greater spur towards a war against the USA. This is deceptive and a slap in the faces of other nations, and not just to our own people.

They’re not committing political suicide. They’ve been screwing their voters for years but keep getting re-elected. They control the vote counting. They didn’t complain about Gore cheating or Obama cheating because they knew they would need to cheat, too.

But Conservative-in-Name-Only Sen. Cruz says
it is “no big deal”, that Congress must
support the White Mosque,
even though HE did not read the Agreement in its entirety.

THE accursed GOP SCREWS AMERICA AGAIN.

Good for you. Let’s all do the same. Sen. Jeff Sessions was on the Mark Levin show today. Levin asked Sessions why Republicans are suppporting TPP and fast track. The senator said that to a number of his colleagues “free trade is a religion.” When they see “free trade,” they vote for it. (Never mind that they haven’t read the TPP agreement or realize that only 5 out the 29 sections have to do with trade.)

Sessions said the TPP establishes a supra-national union like the European Union that can override national sovereignty on key issues. Thev senator is diametrically opposed to TPP and urges that everyone call their representatives in Washington to demand they oppose fast track for TPP.

Just as big Pharma and big Insurance weaseled the idiot repubs to their goal of “healthcare” through mandatory premium payment (just like auto insurance with ONE big difference— everyone is required in health insurance, auto ownership/coverage is optional to the person who wants to drive— no choice in healthcare).

Selling the supposed bonanza in premiums to private insurers— a LIE, now exposed as rates NO ONE can afford, but they knew that and are looking for their SUBSIDIES to private insurance. Imagine that swindle.

And Pharma? the Big Pharma cos. are positioned to be the purveyor of single to no choice on a govt. only formulary- with compensatory rates of payment for their largesse. Another bonanza.

Both are ripoffs— as is the “trade” agreement the icing on the pharma payments scam— a very important large number of payers figure in the TPP. Singapore alone would create a whole new profit center for Pfizer. A bonanza subsidized by— OUR obamacare pharma reimbursement rates tied to the federal govt. rates ramped up.

What a total utter SCAM. All of it- with RINOS lapping up the slop with the dems. All of them— criminals.

I sent an e-mail to my democrat congresswoman. I told her to vote no on this fast track trade deal I told her to listen to Senator Boxer on this subject. (I cannot believe that I am in agreement with Boxer on anything).

TPP Proponents Close to Clinton Remain Optimistic About Her Support

What Scott Walker had to say.

Well, I talked about TTIP the other day in Germany in Hanover at the industrial fair there, and I think fair and open trade is a good thing on either side of the continent for the United States, whethere it’s on the Atlantic or the Pacific. Obvious the details need to be worked out and there’s a lot of details including some specific to my state that need to be worked out. But I think in the end, having a deal that’s fair and offers fair and open trade would be a good thing for the United States and for our trading partners.

Sessions also mentioned that TPP can end up micromanaging the internal affairs of signatories (40% of global GDP)just as the EU does with its members. He mentioned it was the EU which demanded a ban on fox hunting in U.K. Obama will have a field day if he gets this TPP. Forget about the Second Amendment. He’ll do an end on the Constitution and Bill of Rights, his dream, our nightmare.

Bobby Jindal talks economic development, TPP with Taiwanese President Ma Ying-Jeou

While the negotiations were discussed, Plotkin said Jindal will take a position on the agreement when final terms are agreed to: "We are optimistic and hopeful about expanded trade with this part of the world. So we are hopeful about the TPP.

Apparently, TPP also extends the length of patent (currently 20 years) and copyright protection (for current terms, see below). Remember the Disney buyout of Congress in the 1998 to give Mickey Mouse and his friends a long second life with Disney? The big corporations will get an even longer lock on their properties.

“The Copyright Term Extension Act (CTEA) of 1998 extended copyright terms in the United States. Since the Copyright Act of 1976, copyright would last for the life of the author plus 50 years, or 75 years for a work of corporate authorship. The 1976 Act also increased the extension term for works copyrighted before 1978 that had not already entered the public domain from twenty-eight years to forty-seven years, giving a total term of seventy-five years. The 1998 Act extended these terms to life of the author plus 70 years and for works of corporate authorship to 120 years after creation or 95 years after publication, whichever endpoint is earlier.[1] Copyright protection for works published prior to January 1, 1978, was increased by 20 years to a total of 95 years from their publication date.

This law, also known as the Sonny Bono Copyright Term Extension Act, Sonny Bono Act, or (derisively) the Mickey Mouse Protection Act,[2] effectively “froze” the advancement date of the public domain in the United States for works covered by the older fixed term copyright rules. Under this Act, additional works made in 1923 or afterwards that were still protected by copyright in 1998 will not enter the public domain until 2019 or afterward (depending on the date of the product) unless the owner of the copyright releases them into the public domain prior to that. Unlike copyright extension legislation in the European Union, the Sonny Bono Act did not revive copyrights that had already expired. The Act did extend the terms of protection set for works that were already copyrighted, and is retroactive in that sense. However, works created before January 1, 1978, but not published or registered for copyright until recently, are addressed in a special section (17 U.S.C. § 303) and may remain protected until the end of 2047. The Act became Pub.L. 105–298 on October 27, 1998.”
