The polling results indicate that same-sex marriage will be an important, and likely very divisive, factor in the 2016 U.S. general election
New polling data from the Pew Research Center shows very low levels of support for same-sex marriage among Republicans.
The Pew Research Center survey, conducted May 12 to 18 among 2,002 adults, found just one-third of Republicans support same-sex marriage, in contrast to 65 percent of Democrats and Independents.
Among religious groups, white evangelical Protestants are dominantly opposed to same-sex marriage, with a 70 percent opposition rate. Other major groups surveyedincluding Catholics (38 percent opposed, 56 percent in favor) and white mainline Protestants (33 percent opposed, 62 percent in favor)are generally in favor of same-sex marriage.

Why the HELL is it 30%....in a SANE world it would be .00000000000001% of NORMAL people!! However NORMAL is NOT in AMerica anymore....they DIED.
How many of that one-third defected to the Repugnants from the Libertarian or even the Rat parties? That might explain some of the problems we’ve had in the last decade or so.
I'll bet it beat the 65% that "favors same sex marriage," and since we subject morality to a public vote???
Try asking the same group what they think about anal sex or men putting their penises in other men's anus instead of the "clean sounding" same sex marriage.
There’s some truth to what you say. I think it’s been a combination of our side making a poor case, combined with media propaganda. A show like Modern Family, while very funny, does more to “normalize” gay marriage and adoption than any number of debates and advocates ever could.
Good Lord.
That many Reps favor homo marriage?
Never mind the DISGUSTING favor from “religious” people.
Good.
I’d add to that “too much time in the echo chamber” - we stopped paying attention to the country as a whole, convincing ourselves that they were all still with us. And while we sat back and congratulated ourselves, the Left organized and took them away from us.
Even now, these threads are filled with nonsense about how elections always come out our way. We’ve blinded ourselves to the unpleasant reality, and I worry where that will take us next.
Good point.
>>Do they support it, or are they just grudgingly ready to put up with it?
“They” being the McSheeple who drool all over themselves about who’s winning American Idolatry and Dancing with the Perverts every week in between commercials for Beer, Viagra, sleeping pills/anti-anxiety medication, and Depends?
That They?
That They?
Yep, them's the they!
“Normal” is the new N-word.
I support square circles.
