The irony is that W did sort of lie about WMD.

He didn't lie about Iraq trying to develop WMD or having sarin gas or yellow cake uranium. And Iraq was bragging about their "nuclear mujadeen" in their state newspapers.

But Bush kept the actual findings classified and never defended his position.

Post the full quote.

Chemical weapons are not weapons of mass destruction. Just about every country in the world has them.

I do recall Colin Powell in from the U.N. making the case we knew exactly where the WMDs were located.

Then years later W. said there were no WMDs.

70% of the country agrees.

Don’t see how this hurts him, other than with the “perpetually war, perpetually” crowd.

Two Bush presidencies should be enough to establish that that family is populated with lying politicians. Be honest with yourselves.

This won’t hurt him because THE COUNTRY THINKS HE LIED since he never defended himself against the attacks from the Dems.

At worst, Bush got bad intelligence, but that little detail seems to have been lost in the Dem screaming, and Bush didn’t consider it important enough to defend himself.

So, no effect.

The media continues to be so dishonest.
The Cruz folks will say anything and do anything to achieve their desired result.

Fact : the towers came down on W`s watch. The Comander in Chief holds final accountability. 9/11 is forever a horrible tragic event!!!! Further proof that the Government cannot guarntee security of you or your family.
Fact : saddam has WMD, and saddam used those WMD`s on lunatic jhiadis. By the time the troops got on the scene, tose weapons were moved, hidden,or used up. W should have expended some political capital standing up for himself. Future POTUS should study the W years and learn some lessons

As a Hold my nose Trump supporter, this bothers me. But then, it bothers me even more that Bush/Rove never uttered a syllable in defense through years of horrific political assault.

So GWB deserves to be dumped on the ash heap and covered in the dung from critics. I will never forgive him for not fighting back and defending himself and all those who supported him.

So as I hold my nose and plug my ears, while Trump uses GWB for a pinata, I yearn for Trump to focus his aim on Hillary.

That is not a new charge:

(CNN) — The Bush administration began planning to use U.S. troops to invade Iraq within days after the former Texas governor entered the White House three years ago, former Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill told CBS News’ 60 Minutes.

GW Bush said during his campaigning that there would be no nation building in his Administration and that's exactly what he did. What should have been a simple retaliatory military expedition ended up becoming a multi-trillion dollar unwinnable war because we don't find wars to win, we fight them to destroy countries then spend our money and spend our soldiers lives building them up again so they will love is.

Only it hasn't worked since the Marshal Plan which looks like it's going to fail some 60 years later as Europe gets overrun and intimidated by Islamunists.

Hans Blick said there was no stockpiled WMDs in Iraq.

GW Bush HIMSELF at no point in time EVER defended WMDs in Iraq. He NEVER claimed to have found them. NEVER.

So, for someone to say he ignored Blick and pushed his own agenda would be an okay position, given the FACTS.

FOR ME, it never was about stockpiled WMDs. It was about recipes and capability to produce small quantities.

But BUSH wouldn’t defend even that!

Trump bravely went where no other republican candidate would go. Bush2 did get us mired in a totally unnecessary war in Iraq. Hussein was not involved in 9/11, why he became a target is because Bush2 felt that Bush1 had been humiliated by Hussein for simply hanging onto power in Iraq after the Bush1 instigated war. Trump was also right that the Iraq war destabilized the Middle East, and increased Iranian influence in the area.

If you take off the the partison/political glasses, you will undoubtedly come to the conclusion that George Bush was the most terrible president we have ever had. He had 911 on his watch, he never captured Bin Laden, he escorted the Bin Laden family out of the USA, Iraq War was a terrible mistake and yes probably a lie, mission accomplished, terrible leadership skills, terrible choices of executives (Karl Rove, Ari Fliesher, Dick Cheney, Dana Lamb, Colin Powel) Katrina debacle, 4 trillion in new debt, more NAFTA policies, Patriot Act, open borders, terrible PR skills, the only time he defends himself or speaks is when his loser brother is failing in the polls, 2008 financial crises, and last but not least....he got Obama elected!! That is a fact! McCain and Palin were winning until the economy crashed! Trump has every right to be angry over George Bush. And we should be just as angry as he is!

If trump said this really then he is lying or misinformed
I hope misinformed

Trump is not yet receiving daily national security briefings nor does he have access to classified information unless he was on Hillary’s email list

I wish Trump would stop running against George Bush and focus on running against liberalism

It is a fact that Trump saw none of the Intelligence prior to war. Those reports showed Saddam having chemical weapons. All US Services prepared for the certainty of meeting a chemical threat. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person on this forum with first hand knowledge of that effort. Saddam did not comply with the UN Mandates either. Trump's "knowledge" is from his liberal milieu where he accepts their charges without regard for facts. Support Trump if you really want another dilettante amateur in the White House. And, lastly, there were chemical weapons found in Iraq, not in the quantities feared, but they were there. And they prove that Saddam did not comply with the UN Mandate. Now, Trump will say anyone who says otherwise than what he says is a liar, and he'll get away with it because he's not required to run a campaign based on facts. Trump gets his foreign policy information from what he calls "the shows." He is not well-informed on intelligence information; he is a philistine.

This photo may no longer be available. Or I may have messed up. If you can get this to work, it will be worthwhile.
