Lilly Wachowski, one-half of the sibling filmmaker duo best known for their Matrix trilogy, has come out as a transgender woman in an essay published in the Windy City Times, a Chicago LGBT newspaper.
The 48-year-old Wachowski, whose older sister Lana is also transgender, wrote that for the last year, media outlets have been indicating that they would break the news of her transition from Andy to Lilly a prospect, she writes, that brought dread and/or eye rolling exasperation. She finally decided to come out herself after a reporter from the Daily Mail arrived on her doorstep, trying to coerce her into sharing her story.

Yo man, transgender is hip, everybody’s doing it! Pretty soon being straight will be like SO passe! You’re a guy and you like GIRLS? You perv!
“transition from Andy to Lilly”
I know it’s three lines in, but isn’t it un-PC to mention that he used to be “Andy”? It spoils the make-believe.
eeeewwwwwwwwwwww!
They are more of a freak show than their movies.
He took the pink pill.
Pillow biters.
shouldn’t the head line be Matrix Filmmaker ANDY Wachowski Comes Out as Transgender Woman ???
otherwise it doesn’t make sense...
a woman pretends to be a woman ???
The clock is ticking for Ann Coulter!
Why are we supposed to care?
He’s prolly a drag queen not having removed his man parts.
Thats one dysfunctional family...two trannies in it!
He is not a woman... he is a man that is a cross-dresser. He is still a “he”, will always be a “he”, it is improper to call him a “she” no matter how he dresses.
Fitting that the movie series is about alternate realities.
LOL!! NEVER take the red pill!!! Man, there must have been some heavy drugs going down on that movie set.
Kooks. We used to lock these people up.
I'll never watch it again.
Lord willing that I have children I won't be showing it to them either...
Larry Wachowski isn't a woman. Neither is his brother Andy. They are two siblings who have chosen to self-mutilate themselves.
If they can't be confident about their own gender, how can we be expect them to be confident about their own films?
Gee what a shock. Mixing up reality and fantasy.
