The world's historic effort to reduce carbon emissions is likely to be a costly if not quixotic endeavor, according to one expert, whose recently published research warns that decarbonizing the globe could have devastating consequences on the world's way of life.
In a report published this week, the International Energy Agency issued a call for "concrete action" to match the ambitions of last year's landmark climate change agreement, which was recently ratified by nearly 200 countries. The energy watchdog said the transition to a low-carbon future would require "massive changes in the energy system" to prevent the globe's temperature from rising by more than 2 degrees Celsius.
Yet the agency also put a steep price tag on efforts to combat climate change....

After considerable study I’ve come to agree with the climate scientists. It is hopeless. We are doomed.
Now that we’ve recognized our fate, the only path forward is to stop wasting time and money subsidizing green energy ventures and taxing carbon emissions. Let’s devote those resources to enjoying life as long as we can.
This effort to make energy less available, less reliable, and more expensive is at a level of societal insanity comparable to that which overwhelmed the Xhosa in 1856 when the prophetess of doom, Nongqawuse, convinced them that salvation lay in destroying all their cattle and crops. It will not turn out well.
Turning our backs on cheap, plentiful energy from any source is just as bad a move.
CO2 cuts could impoverish the world
That’s not a bug it’s a feature.
OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
I think we need to take advantage of it.
How about an Artic land rush? Like the Oklahoma Land Rush?
Zero sunspots for the last 2 days on the sun.
LoL! Very nice take!
