FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A nine-year-old Donald Trump supporter who was told to take off his hat at school last week because it caused too much of a distraction, will not be returning to the school he attended.
A day after the student left campus with his cherished "Make America Great Again" cap it was mangled by his dogs while he was swimming. On Thursday Logan Autry had a reason to smile again.
A FedEx package filled with surprises showed up for Logan.
"To Logan, thanks for your support. Keep up the great work," Logan read.
Two signed signature hats and an autographed picture, right from the presidential candidate himself.
Last week, Logan decided to leave school after the principal told him he could not wear his Trump hat on campus, not even at recess. He hasn't returned since.
He bought his prized possession last month at a Donald Trump rally in Fresno, but just days later, it was shredded by his dogs.
It only took a few seconds for the observant nine-year-old to notice the difference between his old chewed up hat and the ones from Donald Trump-- these are made in the USA.
"Everything nowadays is made in China. I bet this tie is made, wait-- this tie is made in China," said Logan.
Politics aside, Logan was all business Thursday, when he talked to the vice president of the Trump organization, Michael Cohen. He was the one who saw the story and sent the care package.
"Well thank you for telling Mr. Trump about my story," said Logan.
"Your very welcome. I had Mr. Trump sign two hats for you. One that you can continue to wear to school and the other you can now have right in your room and it will never get damaged or eaten up by the dogs again," said Cohen.
Logan is taking a brief break from the presidential race for now to swim and enjoy the summer. But he plans to refocus once school begins.
District officials now say Logan can wear his hat to school, but with the school year now over, his mom says he is now changing school districts especially in light of the general election in November.
Yep, a new hat because his dog ate up the other one and he was devastated.
What a wonderful act of kindness on part of the campaign :)

Nice that the stupid school has seen fit to allow the kid to wear it, but a shame there was ever any question about it.
