The fact is, you can go back and look at Laura Bush’s speech, Nancy Reagan, and even Hillary when she was first lady and find the same type of comments.
In a speech Hillary Clinton gave in 2014 for the New American foundation. Hillary spoke of the same values saying,
” my mother and father gave us a middle-class life with opportunities she never could have imagined for herself but which she always believed could be possible for her children. And that was a great gift that I will be forever grateful for, and then Bill and I of course worked hard to pass on those values to our daughter.”
(In other words, passing on values to the next generation, like Michelle Obama said in 2008.)
Laura Bush said in her 2004 RNC speech,
“If you’re determined and you want to work hard, you can do anything you want to. That’s the beautiful thing about America.”
(The same concept of Michelle Obama’s speech in 2008.)
Even Ann Romney’s speech hit the same notes in 2012
“Mitt will be the first to tell you that he is the most fortunate man in the world. He had two loving parents who gave him strong values and taught him the value of work.”
Hillary is actually the biggest offender when it comes to plagiarism, she plagiarized Bernie Sanders so often that the hashtag #StealTheBern was born. more here

What people fail to realize is the media attacks any thing associated with Trump. Every aspect of Trump's efforts are criticized 24/7. Constant criticism has an adverse effect against Trump and his message.
OK for Obola to crib Coupe deVal’s speeches, and for Slo-Joe Biden to lift Neil Kinnock’s entire speech. However, for Melania to strike similar themes as most First Ladies / candidates’ wives is an unforgivable sin, according to the Party of Plagiarism. Sheesh...

One thought to keep in mind. 8 years ago Michelle promised a life that depended on your dreams and your efforts but unlike Melania, Trump will deliver on those promises.
After 8 years what the dreamers have from Obama is a bunch of food stamps and illegal immigration. Not the same idea as those words in the speech promise at all.,

It was definitely plagarized. No doubt about it. The speech writer is to blame. Who wrote it. They need to be fired for incompetence.

This will blow over in a day...I loved her speech and her demeanor. (Need I point out how lovely to look at she is?)
I reluctantly turned on Fox and they did not give it a serious slam...and played great clips of many of the excellent speeches.
Lefties need to destroy Mrs. Trump because they can not afford to have strong, articulate women speaking the truth.

The silly denial is far more damaging. Blaming it on a lazy speechwriter would have been far more believable.
It raises serious questions about the competence and loyalty of Trump insiders and campaign staff. Not good.
Imagine basing your vote on what some wife says about something. Now imagine being upset about the similarity in speeches enough to not vote for Trump or get riled up enough to go vote Clinton when you weren’t going to vote at all. Has to only affect a small % of the very dumbest swing voters.

I The whole first day of the convention was filled with devastating comparisons. The selection of the speakers was genius! To weave the comparison from what the left says with forced emotion compared to the true & raw emotion of those wronged. Those who’s lives have been impacted by leftist policies and the last 7 and 1/2 years of incompetence. The hate America crowd compared to the crowd that loves America
Melania’s speech compared to Michelle’s.
What family really embodies these values? Compare. After 7 and 1/2 years, I can say the Obama’s do not.
