I made the mistake of turning on CNN yesterday and saw all the hypnotized pundits trying to work the secret persuasion word chaos into every comment about President Trump. Thats your tell that none of the pundits are offering independent opinions. They are part of the hive mind led by some uncredited persuader on their side. Someone told them to say chaos a lot, and so they do. This might signal the return of Godzilla. Reminds me of dark, their hive-mind word for the summer of 2016.
It appears that Trumps counter-persuasion for chaos involves framing his administration as disruptive. Thats a good persuasion move because it doesnt deny the observations. A disruption looks a lot like chaos from the outside. Two movies on one screen.

“Hive mind”. I like it.
I think I’m going to start using it.
If you see a pundit crying chaos about Trumps early moves, youre probably seeing someone with no entrepreneurial management experience . . .
Entrepreneurial management experience is rare in echo chambers, isn't it?
Trump is leading better than anyone I have ever seen in my entire life.
The chaos is coming from the left and its media.
Whenever a headline asks a yes/no question, the answer is no.
Adams has been AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had no idea he was this prescient
Agree!
Yes, Hive Mind. That quintessential leftist characteristic is at the heart of my as-yet-unpublished book series.
My problem is that the ideas I started using years ago, when I began to write a science fiction novel, are coming true so quickly and often, that by the time I can publish it, it will seem derivative.
Oh, well. I cannot regret any of this: The nation is infinitely more important than my literary success.
I think it survives because some people feel much, much safer in a crowd. If one isn't particularly bright it's safer to parrot what the perceived bright people are spouting.
It also serves to identify the outsider. For years mentioning an article in the NYT was a quick way to identify who was worth talking to, hiring, etc. Virtue signaling on Facebook performs the same function today.
I think you are quite right. Trump’s success I believe is in large part due to his ability to think faster than his opponents.
Establishment politicians and the media are not used to being proactive. Both entities are slow, reactive institutions who continually navel-gaze to figure out how to frame events.
By the time they have developed some way to react to something Trump has done, he has already moved on to the next thing.
This meme needs to go viral. Hive Mind.
HM
e.g. “I turned on NPR today to see what the HM has to say about Trump’s latest.”
or maybe #hivemind
How many billions are you worth pal?
Trump’s playing 3D Timed Chess, and the opposition has lost 9 games in a row. But they don’t know it yet and are still analyzing game 3, trying to figure out how they got checkmated (again). Meanwhile, Trump has started game 10 and hit the timer.
I agree with you.
I find it easy to ignore the pundits and critics (on both sides); I do not perceive what he says and does as chaotic.
Stealing that one...
These media buffoons and establishment politicians are eating Trump’s dust. I think Adams is spot on.
When I was a corporate auditor, if I interviewed people and started hearing the same words and phrases, I knew I was being fed a load of bull.
