A recent polling through Chicago University’s National Opinion Research Center shows that 18% of Democratic Party members who responded to the survey stated that they thought black people were less intelligent than whites. But of course, this is not the story that’s doing the rounds. What you’ll find in the MSM are reports about how the Republican members are more racist than Democrats. Now this may in fact be the case, but if you add it to the cannon of stories about the “racist Republican Party”, it barely makes a ripple. So why has not the Democrat response made the front page? And is there actually a big difference between the two parties?
The 2016 figures for those who though “Black People are Less Intelligent than White People” are:
Democrats = 18%
Republicans = 26%

Is that TRULY racist?
“I’m a proud Black man” said the Black man.
“I’m a proud Hispanic man” said the Hispanic man.
“I’m a proud Asian man” said the Asian man.
“I’m a proud White man” said the racist.
Everyone is racist. Every group has foibles and every one else laughs at them. We need to get a life (back) when all groups can be laughed at.
I miss Don Rickles humor making fun of all groups.
On average, they can certainly run faster and play basketball better. Is admitting those things ‘racist’? I don’t think so.
The word ‘racist’ is losing any meaning. Someone who wants to kill blacks just because they are black, or who wants to bring back Jim Crow laws - that’s racist. But believing that there is a genetic IQ - or, equally importantly, genetic athletic differences is far from that.
Although the question is ill-posed, because some people could interpret it to mean “on average”, while others could interpret absolutely, i.e. it to mean “is the smartest black person less intelligent than the least intelligent white person” (which is clearly false).
I suspect the use of PC as a weapon has scared many people into not even accepting the possibility of genetic differences averaged over entire populations, or at least not being willing to admit them in public.
No, and this is exactly what makes me sick to my stomach about the racist BS in this country. Racism has a very specific definition dealing with a belief of superiority of one's own race. Saying that you believe that blacks are less intelligent has nothing to do with being racist.
Yep, the article even shows that indirectly; here are the responses to the same question over time. At the beginning of the period, 1990 (about when PC was becoming entrenched), the majority of Americans were apparently comfortable admitting this, but as PC became dominant those numbers dropped like a rock:

There are many races of dogs. Some dog races are hailed as more intelligent than other dog races, some are hailed as better runners or physically more robust, some are hailed as more easily trained or more protective, some as friendlier, some as better workers.
There never seems to be any complaint over this.
But try to do the same thing with races of humans, and all hell breaks loose on you.

It's funny because it there's more than a kernel of truth to it.
It's "canon", with one N, meaning "body of work".
It is no wonder we are becoming dumber — there is punishment for those who use logic in their thought and language.
We are told there is no such thing as “race”.
We are told we discriminate based on “race”.
....and the other 82% wholly support the soft bigotry of low expectations.
By the same token, if I insist one breed of dogs is more intelligent than another, isn’t that also racist?
I can’t be a racist because i spend every waking hour searching for racial slights.
Plus i am constantly accusing other people of being a racist or a bigot.
I am also very smart and open minded too..i point out to everyone i meet how closed minded and stupid they are if they don’t agree with my POV.

All members of the Congressional Black Caucus are racists.
I would suspect all members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus are racists, as well...regardless of ‘color’.
