Please pardon the vanity. I have a friend in his eighties but still healthy and active. Retired medical professional, active Christian, conservative Republican. His political knowledge level is rather low. He has an IPhone but has no regular internet access. He may just be too old to learn to use the internet.
He is very interested in political news. I have thought about suggesting a conservative print magazine to him. In past years, I read National Review when William F. Buckley was in charge, but I know that it is much less reliable now. Today, I get my news from the internet and do not follow the print magazines, papers much at all.
Pat Buchanan's American Conservative seems odd. Weekly Standard too cozy with the Left? John Birch Society's New American too conspiratorial.
I see this article still lists NR as the best conservative magazine:
Do others have better ideas on a print political news source for a conservative Christian? Thank you.
Newsmax is pretty solid. I remember they had a print edition, you may have to send for it!
I used to enjoy Investor’s Business Daily. Haven’t read it lately, though.
Guns and Ammo? LOL sorry had to do it.
Imprimis is an excellent publication from Hillsdale College:
World Magazine.
New York Times. Just interpret the opposite of everything they publish.
I don’t know what you mean by too old to use the internet. You could pretty easily set him up so FR comes up as his home page when he turns it on. Once he’s on here he’ll be hooked!
GREAT choice BUMP!
MAD
I was going to recommend the same Imprimis source.
Kindle
Drudge/Free Republic
Good for you.
It’s a great publication.
World Magazine
