This is a complex setup that Donald Trump Jr. has gotten himself in to, but he certainly is not in it alone.

OK, I think I will start by listing the cast of characters and their roles:

1.Natalia Veselnitskaya is a Russian lawyer whose clients include Russian “state-owned businesses”, including Petr Katsyv’s son, Denis Katsyv. The latter owns Prevezon Holdings, an investment firm, and his father is the “vice president of the state-owned Russian Railways and a former deputy governor of the Moscow region”. Veselnitskaya is known for leading a “multi-pronged” attack against “the Magnitsky Act, which provoked a Cold War-style, tit-for-tat row with the Kremlin when President Barack Obama signed it into law in 2012”. Veselnitskaya’s campaign included an unsuccessful attempt in Washington to repeal the Act and to “keep Mr. Magnitsky’s name off the Law. She was “also deeply involved in the making of The Magnitsky Act – Behind the Scenes—an anti-Magnitsky film that premiered in June 2016. She provided the film crew with “the real proofs and records of testimony” according to RussiaTV5, a “station whose owners are known to be close to Mr. Putin”. In response to the adoption of the Magnitsky Act, the Russian government denied Americans adoption of Russian children, issued a list of US officials prohibited from entering Russia, and posthumously convicted Magnitsky as guilty. In addition, the Russian government reportedly lobbied against the legislation acting through a public relations company led by Kenneth Duberstein. In June 2016, Veselnitskaya met with Donald Trump Jr. to discuss the Magnitsky Act.

Sen. Grassley (R-Iowa) was on Fox & Friends this morning saying his committee would be calling the Russian lawyer who contacted Don Jr. to testify why she was in the country illegally during the Obama administration and attended congressional hearings when she should have been deported.

This could turn out to be very bad for Democrats.

2.Rob Goldstone is the major player here if you ask me. Goldstone, a British music publicist and former tabloid journalist, told the Associated Press he had set up the meeting – in which Trump Jr met Natalia Veselnitskaya, along with Paul Manafort, the campaign’s chairman at the time, and Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, at Trump Tower in June 2016 – on behalf of a client in Moscow named Emin Agalarov, the son of a Moscow-based developer who tried to partner with Trump in a hotel project.

Sounds like Natalia was set up, as well.

Veselnitskaya was in our country illegally during the Obama administration and attended congressional hearings listening to Obama's ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul, testify.

Veselnitskaya was also connected to Fusion GPS, the DNC opposition research firm that produced the fraudulent and discredited Trump Dossier. So why was Veselnitskaya hanging out with Obama officials just days after her meeting with Donald Trump Jr.? And why was Veselnitskaya given a privileged seat up front during the Congressional hearing?

Something doesn’t add up about Veselnitskaya. I think she may be an operative, or at least much more than appears.

She claims to be a real estate and banking lawyer yet she is in the US lobbying against the Magnitsky Act (adoption) and she approached the Trump campaign about the Magnitsky Act.

Why? Is Magnitsky used as a cover story? Is she truly interested in adoption? Or is there something else about Magnitsky?

She was the lawyer for Denis Katsyv, accused by the DOJ of laundering tens of millions of dollars. That money laundering was uncovered by Magnitsky. She promotes Andrei Nerkasov’s film, shown at the Newseum, which exonerates Putin friend Sergei Roldugin from involvement in the money laundering. Magnitsky died in a Russian prison under disputed circumstances. Magnitsky’s family lawyer, Nikolai Gorokhov, fell from a Moscow building the day before he was to appear in a Moscow court regarding that death. Gorokhov was also a witness in the US money laundering case against Katsyv. That case was handled by DOJ attorney Preet Bharara until he was fired in March 2017. The case was abruptly settled May 12, 2017 for $6M, perhaps to ease international tension.

There’s more going on than appears on the surface.

Goldstone definitely needs to explain himself.

Goldstone used the lure of incriminating information to bring DT Jr to a meeting with a unnamed Russian attorney.

He first attempted to setup a meeting on June 3, but on June 7 he still didn’t know who the Russians were.

Then when the attorney arrived she wanted to discuss the Magnitsky Act.

Either Goldstone was fed bad info or he lied in order to lure DT Jr to the meeting.

Goldstone is tied to Fusion GPS - which has been paid by the Democrats and which produced the golden shower dossier. It’s quite possible he lied.

Russian attorney Veselnitskaya is a fishy character. It possible she misrepresented to Goldstone.

Congress needs to subpoena Goldstone ASAP. Not three or four months from now. NOW.
